The fields of psychology and pharmacology have made considerable progress in addressing symptoms of fear and anxiety but little headway in finding a cure for these widespread maladies. In Fear Less , renowned Kabbalist Yehuda Berg draws on 5,000-year old wisdom to offer a simple spiritual technology to conquer fear, eradicate anxiety, and end stress-related illness — all without drugs or expensive therapy.
Yehuda Berg is a renowned authority on Kabbalah. Touted as "the people's kabbalist," he shares these teachings as a technology to improve everyday life. In 2007 Newsweek named Yehuda one of the top 5 rabbi's in the US. Yehuda believes that only by transforming our negativity can we unlock our greatest blessings. A bestselling author whose books include The Power of Kabbalah and 72 Names of God, Yehuda is a true spiritual activist. He lives in LA with his wife and 5 children."
This is excellent book for anyone experiencing problems with anxiety or phobias. In it, we are shown three of the Names of G-d that can be used as a meditation to eliminate fear from our lives. This practice, if applied consistently, actually will eradicate the problem instead of other solutions that only teach you how to live with the fear. I would recommend it highly.
Rav Berg makes a good and very meaningful point when he states that most self-help books are not helpful because they help the self, i.e. the ego, when the ego is the problem. You want to help the real self, i.e. the soul, instead of the ego, which is exactly what Qabbalah does.
All I can say is that Qabbalah has helped me tremendously with anxiety problems when nothing else did. Toda raba, Rav Berg.
Loved it! A lot I had heard before but needed the unique perspective or different examples/suggestions. Also got me interested in Kabaalism and going to add several of the suggested books at the end to my reading list!
Very interesting ideas about how to deal with fears. Quick to read, a little complicated,I think I might read it again right away. Approach is different from anything I've ever been exposed to.
Some interesting ideas I'm here but it's hard to take any book seriously that refers to "God" all the time. Might as well reference the Easter Bunny as far as I'm concerned.
