You don't have to read very far in his letter to find that James was down on phoniness. For James, being a Christian was as practical as a pair of shoes - not just for putting on and showing , but for getting up and going. Ethel Barrett came on the scene nearly 2000 years after James, and her wise and witty words on the need for genuine Christianity add a fresh dimension to James' timeless counsel. You will identify with her keen insights and often humorous application of God's message on such subjects as faith, temptation, wisdom, attitudes and prayer.

In fact the book I have is the same book that I’ve read in my senior year of high school. I love seeing the marks that I have put in the book.
