On Becoming His ~ Lessons Learned is a story about a Dom/sub relationship as the two characters work on the communication necessary for them to make the relationship work and deepen the love they feel for each other. Jezebel Waters is a vice-president of her firm and a successful business woman, along with being beautiful so taking the submissive role is new with lots of difficult adjustments to find her way through. Luke Brennan is a Dom with a hidden past that he keeps from Jessie and she senses he is holding back in the relationship. They need to face the truths and be honest with each other; Cassandre Dayne presents a story that reflects human nature to hide our short coming even from ourselves.

I adore this series as it's so real and every day, no billionaires or crazy dramas. But this book drove me crazy, because of Luke. He has such human flaws but he's so closed off and he punishes Jessie continuously, in her belief she's done something wrong but her behaviour is because of him and he knows its because of him. He's a man that shouldn't be trusted.
