Stranded #2

Falling In Deep (Stranded)

Rate this book
“Life is an adventure.” That is what everyone kept telling Angie Waters when a group of her friends wanted to go parasailing. She had been adamant about not going at all until her best friend, Jacob Scott, said he would do it if she did. Jake could not stand the idea of going parasailing. He was afraid of heights. Well not so much the being up high, but the falling so far. He figured his only way out, without looking like a pansy, was banking on his best friend, who never took a risk in her life, to say no. Imagine his surprise when she agreed. Parasailing was the easy part. All they had to do was wait for the boat to move and the wind to catch their sail. Any idiot could pull that off. However, when a sudden storm comes in and winds pick up, blowing Angie and Jake way off course and into the middle of nowhere is where the real challenge began. Would they survive to be rescued? Will the stress win over and cause them to lose their best friend? When feelings begin to change from a friendly level, how long can they resist giving in? The pressure of not knowing if they will survive to see tomorrow weighed heavily on their shoulders. Their lives were about to become an adventure they would never forget and could change their lives forever.

I must have read a different book based on all the 5 star reviews. For me this was SO bad!! The heroine was way to insecure for me and I love damsel in distress female characters!

We start off with jake and his sexiness, so let's look at him first. Jake was amazing in this book, he had his drag moments, but all in all I loved him! He and Angie had been best friends for a long time but the only 2 in there group not dating each other, which was fine but they did feel for each other just were too scared to do anything which is typical in romance books. Jake was sweet and sexy, sexy, and dirty all together in this jake package that's the only way to describe him, simply, JAKE! There were time I was like WHAT! And was blowed away by his feelings for Angie. There was one part, I don't want to spoil that made me love him so much that I would have thrown my kindle if Angie didn't receive his feelings! He was so strong thru this book and kept me praying for a happy ending.

Angie had a heart of gold. The story started with a little sadness for Angie but still you could see how amazing she was down to the bones she of course had feelings for jake but didn't see her self as his type, I could feel the love she had for him tru this book and it just grew, no matter what they went tru it grew. She was sweet and funny, and smart and thoughtful no matter what she went tru. There were times in this book that I was shocked at how she dealt with things but it all came to make sense after certain parts and my heart broke even more for her. There was 3 major things that she went thru that made me root and cheer for her when she over came each of them. She was strong to the core and I am so happy about the ending.

The story line rocked. I loved the start and didn't expect what happened that's what makes a great book. There were some heart breaking moments that would be a spoiler to tell you. I cried with them during those hard times. What they went tru wasn't fair for them yet they made it thru. Once they were rescued they went thru a lot more stuff that broke my heart for them, but thru it all their love for one another prevailed. And that's what makes an amazing story.

I gave it four stars because I wish that some parts were more detailed but even with that being said it was An amazing story and I can't wait to read more from this author.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I love, love, LOVE this book.
There was so much love, laughter and heartbreak in this book. It immediately pulls you in and keeps you guessing CONSTANTLY! I could not believe the many twists and turns Ms. Belden gave us.
You start off by thinking: "Okay, they're friends. Well they're obviously meant to be together."
Well you'd be right. What you can't predict is all the tribulations this couple must go through. They go on vacation with four of their friends (who happen to be coupled up) and they end up partnering up to para-sail together.
A storm rolls in... and everything changes. AND I MEAN EVERYTHING!
They are stranded on a beach together for a LONG time. (The author alludes to this in the synopsis.)
You'd think okay they fall in love on the beach, decide to stay together, are rescued and live happily ever after.
You'd be WRONG my friend. They do eventually get rescued, but their relationship has only begun. If she cut it off once they're rescued what would you think?
"How do they know they can make it in the real world?"
Well we get to follow that journey. And it's not easy.

I HIGHLY recommend this book. You will NOT regret it in the slightest. Very well written.

Thank you Ms. Belden! You are incredible! Look forward to more from you!!!

One of my favorite romance tropes is friends to lovers. I love that the characters share a deeper connection when we first meet them.

This book is about two best friends but the problem is the characters behave like high school kids instead of the thirtysomethings they are.

Never mind the implausibility of the accident which leaves them stranded on a deserted island, I was amazed by the juvenile way the heroine in particular related to almost every single situation.

She's been best friends with the hero for years but has so little trust that Seriously?

Meanwhile, the hero, a responsible doctor Again, how old are these people?

Very silly and childishly written story.

This book will draw you in from the beginning. It will take you along on a journey of friendship, hidden love, suspense and survival. You will love Jake he is hot, sweet and a doctor. Angie is such a sweet heart she is like the best friend that you never had. I loved this book from beginning to end. It kept you wanting to know what was going to happen next. This was truly a phenomenal love story and a must read.

Spoiler

I enjoyed this read, however I know even thru he wasn't actually dating his best friend, but had feeling for her, I can't believe he would screw the girl friend he didn't want. then to try around the next day and text her it's over. Men, I'm glad thru they ended up together.

Falling in Deep is an epic story with twists and turns I didn't see coming. I fell in love with the main characters, always a sucker for friends secretly in love with each other. Watching these two come together, and deal with their baggage, was a delight! I couldn't put the book down!
