I wish someone would’ve warned me that the world is sometimes a cruel place to live in. I wish someone would have said that guilt and regret may eat away at your mind until there is nothing left but a suffering that lingers. I wish someone would have taken the time to inform me of how difficult it is to dig yourself out of a decision gone bad. I wish to show the rest of those out there who didn’t know either, who are just like me …

I was given this book for free in return for an honest review. I have included spoilers; you have been warned.

This book was depressing and amazing at the same time. It is written from the point of view of a teenager who finds herself pregnant. The story goes through the emotions she feels as well as the numbness that ensues after she has an abortion.

She decides to end the fetus' life due to pressure to do so. Once she does this, she can't live with the decision she made and falls into a deep depression. The story then outlines the ensuing unexpected ramifications of her decision of the abortion and her decision to tell a friend about it.

This story was very hard to read. I enjoyed it, but never having been put in this position, I had a hard time relating to it. I was hooked though pulling for the main character to come out of her depression.

The ending was surprising, which was nice. If you are okay with a depressing read, I would recommend this one. If you're looking for a happy, good feeling read, I'd come back to this one at some other point.

I received an ecopy of Clipped in exchange for an honest review.

I looked forward to reading this and was anticipating a look into what young girls go through when faced a teen pregnancy and the choices available. The story was good and very touching. I felt like there could have been more character development because I felt at times like I didnt really know them and struggled to relate with them or believe their internal struggles with the decisions they were faced with. It was a quick enoyable read!

What a heart wrenching story. Beautiful and devastating all in one. A must read for both adults and teenagers.
I felt a connection with the main character Lauren, it really makes you think about what mothers go through. I highly recommend this.
