I bought this book for my Fall 2017 semester at university and I'm so glad I did instead of renting it. I love that it provides a site where a person could download the examples in the book. This allowed me to try the examples out as I read along. If it were not for this book I doubt I would have been able to do my assignments. I was not only provided downloadable examples but also step-by-step instructions. It felt like I knew what I was doing and what the code actually did as I built the examples and worked on assignments. Even if I had a question I was able to look in the book for an answer. The few times I didn't find an answer I looked at w3schools.com as they have information about HTML and CSS like the book.

If you are a beginner, novice, or just need a refresher then this book is for you! I highly recommend it and I'm very selective about textbooks I recommend.

This is a great introduction to HTML and CSS - full of clear explanations, illustrations, and screen shots to help noobs (like me) make sense of web design coding.

As good as a book on this topic could be. My style of tech learning is more hands-on than this, though, and I needed to follow the readings with tutorials on w3schools to make sense of it.

I had to read it for school. The content was easy enough to understand. I would have given it 2.5 stars.
