To my mom in law I was thrilled to give her Chicken Soup for the Soul: Living Catholic Faith. What a great surprise it was to her. You see I am Baptist and my Dear Hubby and family are Catholic. We have differences of course but more things are the same than you know. Of course the main thing is that our belief system has God at the heart of it. I have received many wonderful gifts from my mom in law to support that too. Now being able to give back to her something that is special in her life was wonderful. She was so happy as she is a big fan of the Chicken Soup books. She told me this would be her bed time reading for awhile. And that makes me happy. So mom-happy day to you everyday. Enjoy reading about the Healing Power of the Family Rosary and of stories that profess faith and prayer daily.

This is a beautifully balanced portrayal of the importance of faith to people in a variety of situations. I'm glad they included a range of humor in this book, which is excellent bedtime or waiting in the car reading, due to the length of most of the selections.

An uplifting compilation of short stories which I read as part of my Lenten reflections for 2023. I enjoyed the messages each story had to offer, with some making me laugh out loud and others bringing me to tears - but all reminding me of the invaluable gift of my faith.

Another nice installment for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. After almost 20 years without picking up a book in the series, I picked this up for the nostalgia. Like all the Chicken Soup books I read before, this leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling every chapter you read.

A treasure chest of Catholic stories and miracles to reinvigorate my faith. I was inspired every time I picked this up and it was uncanny how it aligned to an issue I was facing that day.

I first heard about this book when one of the stories was featured in another chicken soup for the soul book and it caught my interest. I was glad that a book for someone like myself was made

k was never much of a faithful Catholic. maybe a terrible altar boy, but honestly, I prefer a fire and brimstone style of sermon by John Weasley

Some inspirational stories, some not so inspirational not even having to do with faith really. But as a Catholic I really enjoyed these stories.

I wanted some light Lenten reading and I found it.

I'd just learned that there was a Chicken Soup book specifically for Catholics and I saw from reviews on Amazon that this book didn't contain any previously published materials. It took me a couple of trips to Barnes and Noble to get a copy but it was well worth it.

As usual, the stories had me crying at 1AM. Every time I begin a Chicken Soup book, I tell myself that I'll read one or two then think about each one. Instead, I end up reading the whole thing as quickly as possible, marking off favorite cartoons, quotes, and stories to re-read later.

I highly recommend this book... Heck, I highly recommend all Chicken Soup books! Someday I'm going to go through with my promise to myself to use them in class.
