In his typical jaw-dropping fashion, Carl Weber returns with part two of his New York Times bestselling Family Business series. He’s brought along a friend in bestselling author Treasure Hernandez, and together they’ve added more drama and new family members to the mix. Welcome to the world of Duncans. By day they are upstanding citizens running one of New York’s most respected car dealerships;but by night, they’re criminals who control most of the East Coast drug traffic. No matter whether they’re on their day or night jobs, one thing is true about the Duncans: there is never a dull moment to be found. Baby momma drama takes over the Duncan clan, as there is still uncertainty about who has fathered the Duncan sisters’ new babies. Meanwhile, Orlando Duncan, the family’s new CEO and a man with his own baby momma problems, has just developed a new product that may make the millionaire Duncans into billionaires. Orlando only has one obstacle in front of him, and it’s not law enforcement or one of his family’s many rivals. It’s his mother, and she may be his most formidable opponent to date, because she’s making the family take sides. Can a civil war within the Duncan family be averted before it tears them apart?

Once again the Duncan Family did not disappointment me or each other…. They are real family with such a love hate relationship; .They will do and/or say whatever to each other but in the end they have an unbreakable bond.
This book was the bomb, the Duncan family is not to be played with.
Orlando Duncan has come up with a experiment that can put Billions in the family pockets, but everyone has to vote on the proposal. Who will say nay or yay?
It was good, but the ending left me a little disappointed. I'm also not excited about the Paris focussed book, BUT can't wait for Family Business 3!!!!
I'm starting reading this book on 9/20/15 but I want to take my time to reading this book. The Family Business 2 by Carl Weber is interesting and exciting read. It's well written and more drama. I want to read more about Paris, Sasha and the rest of the characters from this book. Finally, I just finished reading this book on 2/16/16
However, Mr. Carl Weber did a good job to write this book. It's a page turner.
A lot of talking but not a whole lot going on. Not as much action like the first book. This was a very slow read for me. I kept feeling like I was waiting for something to happen and it just never got there. Did not pick up until the end.
Fairly decent yarn of family involved in illegal activities. Except for a few highly predictable situations and one implausible one, the story is alright with one major exception that has to do with a child. 5 of 10 stars
Exciting second installment in the Duncan Family saga! New family members, mistaken identity, and Chippy playing at the heart strings of both of Paris' baby's other grandmothers makes for an interesting story. Add a new addition to the Duncan family line of "business", that can potentially tear the family apart, and you've got a great listen on audio book! I really like how they chose to have multiple narrators for the various characters as it adds another dimension to listening to the story. 7 out of 10.
I am officially hooked on the Duncan Family. That doggone Paris is a trip and Mama Duncan is showing how much she really has in the family business. I look forward to Book 3
This book was much better written than the first. It's still a bit raunchy, but I'm interested in the story line and cannot wait to see what happens next.
As an avid reader, I rarely, and I mean rarely read a book twice. I don't care how much I love or like the book, I just can't read it again, especially already knowing the outcome. Well there is always an exception to the rule and The Family Business 2 was that exception for me. I'll admit, it wasn't until I was 20 pages from the end that I realized I had in fact read this book when it published.
This was a let down to me compared to the first book which moved at such a fast pace after you discovered the family's dirty little secret ;-) There's just something about that Eric Pete and Carl Weber collabo that is the perfect literary combination to me. Treasure Hernandez is good, (I've read her stuff before) but (IMO) her style just doesn't gel well with Carl's. This book brought back all the original cast of characters in the Duncan family along with the introduction of the master elite gun specialist cousin Sasha. Junior has created a new drug called H.E.A.T. and it is the hottest thing on the market since Nino Brown brought crack to the hood. The Duncan family stands to potentially make a 'killing' off the new drug and force a global monopoly in the industry. We see Chippy, the mother, more vocal in this book by voting against the distribution of H.E.A.T. This causes a family divide and Vegas, the eldest son in jail, is called upon to make the crucial decision. Sonya, Ruby (and all her selfish drama), and Alejandro all resume their roles as thorns in the side of the Duncan clan. Don't expect the family drama to be resolved as there is a 3 book in the installment of the Duncan family, THE RETURN OF VEGAS. This novel was pretty good. I felt like a lot of the questions from the first book still have not been answered and it did kind of read like a soap opera at times. A lot of bickering between the siblings, and cousins, the mother and father being in the business so long seemed to really be disconnected in this novel. I hope that the next novel connects the dots and that Carl will pull everything together. Sequels are okay but at some point you have to move on and I think once the 3rd installment comes out he should move on. There is only so much killing and drugging you can do before it starts to read like all the other novels out there. I will be waiting to see how Carl Weber wraps this one up and will be curious to know if he ends it or comes up with more twists and turns in the Duncan family.
2nd reading: I was more into it this time because I am better able to accept things for what they are. I changed my rating from a 3 to a 4. This book is pure entertainment, and I loved it for that. I remembered many of the twists from the first time I read this 11 years ago, but it didn't take away from the experience. The sex scenes are a tad much and out of touch with reality, but I roll my eyes and go with it.
1st reading: This wasn't near as good as the first one. Maybe b/c I expected the surprises and it was somewhat predictable. It was an entertaining, fast quick read with basic characters and a lot of action. Would recommend if you are looking for a departure from deeper, heavier reads.

This book was something else in a good way! It kept me flipping pages and mumbling to myself as I took it all in. This family is a hot mess. That Paris... wheeeew Chile. Can you say something else!!!! Even her Mamma and Daddy can’t handle her ..I want to see how her and Sasha are gonna get along. Hopefully the next installment talks more about them getting to know each other better. Poor Orlando I hope he gets to see his son. Also So happy Junior found love There is never a dull moment in the Duncan household. I can’t wait to see what else they got going on in the next book. 📚📚📚

This book was good. I really enjoyed it. The Duncan's are a force to be reckoned with. There were parts I really enjoyed. The chapter with Paris and Sasha was my favorite. I want to see more of Ruby and Vinnie in the next book. The ending took me for a loop. I will definitely continue reading this series. I recommend this book to fans of Carl Weber, especially those who have read The Family Business book 1.
after reading mixed reviews I wasn't sure if I wanted to read part 2. this book was great and I couldn't put it down. I cant wait for part 3 Vegas is coming back!! there were a lot of unanswered questions in regards to Orlando and his life and JR and his new girlfriend who is married.. I loved Chippy the mom she was quiet in the first book in part 2 she had a voice and used it.excellent read.
I did not enjoy this book. Not a page turner like part 1. The book is full of sex scenes, foul language, and unrealistic violence scenes. It is also unfortunate that there is no closure from part 1 or any of the situations in part 2. I expect more from Carl Weber, maybe part 3 should be a solo written by Carl Weber only.
I had been highly anticipating " Family Business 2" since reading part one last year and I must say that I was not disappointed. Carl Weber has done it again. "The Family Business 2" was full of everything I wanted and more. Can't wait for "To Paris with Love" or "The Return of Vegas"! 5 stars
Aaah, the curse of the sequel. This follow-up doesn't quite have the same kick as the original. There's lots of drama and this version stands on its own. Back is the entire Duncan clan. Both Paris and London have their babies and the real Chippy steps up.
This book was good. I enjoyed it. The Duncan's are a force to be reckoned with and a mess. Paris is a hand full. The ending took me for a loop. I will continue reading this series. Interested to know how this all plays out.
Just finished and I really enjoyed it. A lot of twist and turns. I can't wait for the final (I hope the final) book to come our next year. Carl a Weber you've done it again!!
Carl Weber has done it again! Excellent read can't wait for FB3 the return of Vegas. But for you Carl Weber fans FB series is nothing like his other novels but just as enjoyable.
