I'm not sure Hybels and Weaver had a single original thought in this whole book. Every paragraph contained a cite from someone else's work. I appreciate the lesson in MLA format and citing but the abundance of in-line cites made it difficult to read this book. It was a chore to read and I am jumping for joy that I will never have to pick it up again. I'm thinking of setting it on fire except that I have a deposit I can get back on it. Yo, Saundra and Richard, IT'S CALLED COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY! You can't do that if I am asleep. Pfft.

This was a recommended read for a college course I took a few years ago. The class was essentially Public Speaking. I enjoyed the course and this book certainly provided great reinforcement and supplemental material for success within the class.

If you're going to perform any sort of public speaking, or even start recording yourself as a video content provider (like YouTube for example, performing tutorials, etc), than I would absolutely recommend this book.
