The Order, under the draconian leadership of Cardinal LaCroix, closes in on Paris to exterminate the undead, and with them is the powerful lunatic Peter Stubbe. But a link between LaCroix and the Brothers DeLaLune might have a deeper effect on the outcome of the looming battle than the scores of soldiers on both sides ready to fight. Elizabeth and Leroux have a lot to talk about, and now that Dahlia knows Ein's secret, will she still love him?
Kinda dislike it when there is a "To Be Continued" cliffhanger at the end of a series of books that you know doesn't progress any further. I suppose that is the fault of the publisher not the author but still it's kinda uncool.
Wrapped up the trilogy I guess, and it was entertaining & by the end I think I even had a decent grasp on the plot. lol
Suddenly there was a warewolf; no idea where it came from. I'm pretty sure the confusion stems from this being the third, rather than first, book, but it could also be that suddenly there's just a warewolf in the middle of everything. Also? Getting tired of usage of historical figures to make world-building easier.
