In the second book of The Unspoken Series, the story picks up a few months after Where Love Finds You ended. Written beautifully from Gavin's perspective, you get an inside look at another interesting individual that is so easy for many to identify with. He has built walls high up around himself and has always been successful in keeping people at an arm's length. That is, until he meets the one person who won't give up until his walls collapse and she can love him for who he is, secrets and all. Marilyn takes you on a venture of self discovery as Gavin is forced to deal with ghosts of his past. All with the love of his life by his side.

To what lengths would you go for the one you love? Would you sacrifice the comfort of how you have lived for so long to better yourself and your relationship? Love makes you do crazy things and, as Gavin finds, can take you to places you never thought you'd go. If you love love (and let's face it, who doesn't?) Down From the Clouds is a must read. I laughed and cried as I was swept away by the story brought to life by the ever-so-talented Marilyn Grey. You won't be able to help yourself from falling head over heels for this compelling cast of characters.

There are different kinds of love . And how we can love back. The story of Gavin and Ella taught me how we can love despite our scars, faults and short comings. Although we all know that time heals all wounds, love stitches us and become whole again by forgiving the one who scarred us and by forgiving ourselves. I hate crying but I cried a river reading their hearts breaking and cried even more when their wounds are healing. There was that part when I thought there's a supernatural involved . I don't know what to feel about it; whether to laugh or be annoyed that it has to happen. But until the very end it made me smile and cry and learn about forgiving. It's amazingly written . Not just an ordinary love story . It inspired me !

I am so glad there's a sequel to 'Where Love Finds You'. And it was an amazing book, and so was this. Just simply amazing. The author sure can write a book! I wanted to know what happens to Ella and Gavin... it was written so... words cannot describe.

Gavin and Ella's relationship is so cute and romantic. They are perfect for each other. I thought after reading the blurb that it would just be them getting to know each other but from the very start they seem like they've been together for 4 years not 4 months. But I think that's a good thing since they were suffering in the first book just finding for each other.

The complications in this book was not in their relationship as I first thought but instead of Gavin's past and the things happening around them with their friends. It's just sad how everything was perfect then everything just got so messed up. It was like the dilemmas they had only happens one in a huge number. And it just so happens that the people around them are the ones out of hundred, thousands, etc.etc.etc. It's sort of irritating but SO FREAKING INTERESTING!

There was a twist in this book like the first. It wasn't as big of a twist but still something that makes you go 'whoa!' or as I did, 'wait, wait... WHAT?!' As I said before: Marilyn Grey is a genius! How she comes up with these... Whoa! And how she writes it so amazingly... I just cannot understand!

I think Ella is a better character in this book. I found her a bit annoying in 'Where love Finds You', but here she's just romantic, sweet, gentle and perfect!

(Oh! And I just have to say... there's a Filipino in this book!!!! YES! Thank you Marilyn for putting a Pinoy there!)

The ending of the book was a happy ending but with some sadness in it. But don't you worry, there was some really good romance in it too.

This book was amazing and so was the first. I cannot wait for the next one. Keep up the good work Marilyn!

Here it is!!I'm writing a review about this. *p-p-anics*

So..here:

I like that this is character-driven. I've learned a LOT. But one thing that strikes me most among the characters is Pop. He taught me this: BE A GIVER. That's a selfless act. Giving someone even the smallest act of affection, or even the attention they haven't thought of getting from anyone, might bring them the happiness they long to have. That's it. Give more and expect nothing in return. Soon when you're gone, the people you once cared about will return your goodness. You will never know it cause you're dead, but the people around you will keep the good stories going because you deserved it. Because you're selfless. Like Jane, the woman Pop mentioned in his notes. I got really attached to Pop that I liked to have a grandpa like him. :c

Back to Gavin and Ella, I envied their connection. It's the kind that everyone wishes to have. Silence is never an awkward moment to them. Instead, they understand each other more when the only thing that speaks between them is their eyes. They grow stronger in silence.

Over all, I marked Down from Clouds as one of my favorite books. Looking forward to Patrick and Heidi's story on The Life I Now Live this November!:)))

P.S:

Ms. Grey, please please please make Sarah and James the protagonists in one of your books soon. Make her live please. And Myra, the one from the Philippines, if you could write a story about her, I'd gladly appreciate it.

Thank You!! God Bless on your 3rd book. :)

Wow....thanks again to this wonderful author. Marilyn really knows how to write a novel that makes you think. I must admit at times in this novel I thought it was a little Jane Austin, a bit sugary sweet, but not that that's a bad thing, I was lapping it up. I was crying by page 5!! The relationship between these two characters is incredible, there bond is so strong it feels like there real people, and what is even more surreal is that I feel like I know them. I loved this book as its not a typical romance (just like the last book) there's love all the way through, mixed with terrible tragedy and heartbreak. Gavin and Ella defy all the odds and still come out as the perfect couple....I loved it! I wish I hadn't read it so fast as now I have to wait months for the next one, although I couldn't put it down. I want to thank Marilyn grey for sending me this book to review, I'm so grateful, can't wait until the life I now live, I loved Patrick and Heidi from the first meeting in where love finds you, so I can't wait to read about there journey....until then xx

A story of love, forgiveness, acceptance and family. Down from the Clouds gives a glimpse on a promising series.

Like Where Love Finds You, I picked up a couple of things from this book. Like don't ever let fear get in your way and be a hindrance on something you want/need to do. Like how forgiveness makes things so much easier because grudge (and anger) is a heavy emotion to carry around in your chest. Like accepting things before you move on because otherwise you'll just keep coming back. Like doing the things you want/need to do before it becomes too late.

Forgiveness, acceptance, family--these are some of Gavin's issues. One by one, he tackled it all, with Ella's help. This book reminds me that one doesn't have to shoulder everything, that you can share it with someone you love. You don't have to hide from them and worry about burdening them because maybe they'd want to help and you just have to give them the benefit of doubt. But then some people, like Gavin, sometimes need time before they can open up. I like that when they finally opened up to each other, together they faced their past, their fears and their future.

I also like how the book shows that time is everything--to heal wounds, to forgive, to accept, to move on, to overcome fears, to open up, and so and so. But then again time is also critical. You can't take too long before it's too late. Pops really proved this to me.

And once again, Miss Grey got me on the twists. I'm starting to think that this woman will never run out of tricks, and I'm looking forward on the next books and knowing the others' stories.

Take the time to read this and fall in love as I did. :>

a good continuation on the first book and see things from Gavin's perspective as he wasn't mentioned much on the first book, and in true Marilyn Grey fashion, she throws in a big surprise nearing the end of the book and it was a really good one.. had me in tears and kinda also touched me as it was just beautiful. oh there is another one that happened that made me soooo sad and made my heart break too but i think that character is having a book so i won't say much. i love this series as it touches the subject of love in a deeper way and it just shows a different stand on true love and soulmates in a way where its not always about sex and passion, but much in-depth and beautiful way. i love how one's true love has the power to help the other person break down the walls built through his lifetime and it was a hard task but because of the her perseverance, belief in him and her sincerity towards freeing him from the self imposed walls he built.. in the end it shows nothing is impossible and the rewards are worth it all.

Hello!
So I finished reading the book earlier today, and I have to say that I totally loved it! The story was really captivating, even so the idealism of Ella wasn't as much important in that book than in the first one, it made us think and consider an un-ideal life and accept it!
The fact that Gavin had secrets and that he wasn't ready to reveal them to Ella even though he loved her so much made the book feel real and therefore captivating!
I don't want to spoil the story for you, so I'll only say that I'm dying to read the next book to know exactly what happens with Heidi and Patrick, Sarah and James, Mweyne and his wife!
Until next time!

Another beautiful story in this wonderful series. I really enjoyed reading this one as much as "Where Love Finds You". Loved the unexpected twist and turns and little surprises throughout. Those really keep you reading and wanting to know so much more about these wonderful characters, flaws and all. Sweet, cute, sad, and so much more. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and see what's going to happen next. Especially for this next couple coming up. Plus hoping for a little more info on the other couples that are dealing with so much pain and heartbreak in their lives. Loved "Where Love Finds You" and enjoyed this just as much. :)

I love that this book is different from the first book. The idealism in the first book is sweet, but this book brings us down from the clouds and back to reality as Gavin discovers that his future depends on the choices he makes now. He needs to learn to forgive and move on from his past in order to find joy in his future. I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. I love Gavin's romance and how sweet he is. Also can't wait to see more unfold in the lives of these characters in the future books from Marilyn Grey. I would really like to read more about Sarah and Mwenye.

Just like the “Where Love Finds You”, I really love the way this one was written. I like the scavenger hunt that Gavin’s grandpa prepared for Gavin and Ella, most especially the messages he left. While reading, my fingers itch to grab a highlighter and mark all my favorite passages. Too bad I don’t actually own the book or I really would have done that, though I think it would be the same as desecrating the book.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series, and I hope it will be soon.

OMG! This book was so weird. I don't know how it got the reviews it did. I wanted to put it down some many times but needed to finish it because it would have driven me crazy not to. I loved the first one but this one didn't make sense with the supporting characters and their drama which didn't fit at ALL! I don't want to give to much away even though I don't recommend this book at all. Save your money.

With Marilyn Grey, expect the unexpected in her books.

It was fun to see Gavin's perspective. I enjoyed seeing his and Ella's relationship grow. I loved Ella's stand not to live with Gavin even while they were engaged. I also love the fact that there was no foul language in the book. This awesome love story is very romantic and mature.

I do want to know what happens to Sarah, Mwenye and the others.

I thought this 2nd book by Marilyn Grey was better than her first book Where Love Finds You because it dealt with a lot more realistic issues. The first book was enjoyable, fun and made you feel good but this second book had a lot more depth. I like that the characters continue their life journey in the 2nd book and has more depth. This story was very touching and I would highly recommend this series.

Gavin, oh how I love Gavin. Another amazingly, beautilfully written book in the Unspoken Series. I can't wait to read more and learn more from each of these incredible characters. I love the old time ideals in this series which you don't get to see too often in contemporary romances anymore. I also can't believe the author was able to fool me once again with such an amazing twist to the story! I'm about to start Heidi & Patrick's story which I have been waiting for now!

Wordy as I've said before. I still love it though but I kinda-no- I skimmed it a lot haha. It's still beautiful though. More beautiful than the first one but... it's just an extension of the first. Something I could live without and so, its not on the fave shelf.
And I don't know if I'm gonna read the next one.
I'm coming back to being skeptical on this kind of love.
