This old gem was an absolute treasure to read. I am fully aware not everything in this is positively historically accurate, but so much fun to read. I got interested in this book when I found out that my father recently purchased a piece of land that was once owned by Chris Madsen. I began to get interested in his history and requested my local library to do interlibrary loan. It took me no time to get through this book and his life story is positively thrilling. It was amazing to hear of the history surrounding so many places I know well here in Oklahoma. It made me not only appreciate Chris' story, but also Oklahoma's interesting history. Chris is buried near my hometown in Yukon and I plan to go and visit sometime, as well as Ingalls, OK. My dad has a longhorn ranch on Chris' old property and he named the ranch Trigger Marshal Ranch.
