Rafael created the game. He plays until he’s bored, then starts all over again. Women fall hook, line, and sinker for the bad boy with the light eyes and untamed spirit, knowing he will never be theirs.
But there’s one girl he does want but can’t have.
Forbidden has never been so intoxicating.
Except he can’t fuck her over. If he does this, he does it right. There’s no room for relapses. Not with her.
Because she’s his best friends sister.
This is a spin off from My Best Friend's Brother please read My Nest Friend's Brother first as this is not a standalone.

Absolutely loved Raff. I wanted Logan to piss off! Elie deserves her happily ever after and she sat back watching her best friend get hers, this should have been her time.
So glad to read their story and see how love really can change you. If it's worth it, it's worth everything.....this was worth it. Such a beautiful story.
I loved Rafael in My Best Friend’s Brother and I couldn’t wait for his story! This second chance, brother’s best friend, reformed playboy romance was a short, quick read and I devoured it in one sitting! I knew Raf and El were end game when we met them in MBFB and this book did not disappoint! The chemistry was off the charts and I loved these characters so much! The growth and characters development was phenomenal and I loved Ellie’s strong character!
Rafael is a second chance brother's best friend story. We were introduced to Rafe and Ellie in My best friend's brother. You don't need to read MBFB as Rafael is a standalone, but I recommend reading just to get the backstory on these two. I couldn't wait to read Rafael! I needed to know that these two found their way back to each other.
Rafe is a reformed playboy and is wanting more for himself. But he constantly thinks about the one that got away.
Ellie has returned home for a visit and is now engaged. Though the relationship is not what she wanted it to be.
The chemistry between these two was sizzling. Once they got around each other I knew it was a matter of time. Rafe was not about to miss out on this chance with Ellie and he didn't let Logan (his BF & Ellie's brother) get in the way again. He really came into his own in this book. Ellie was finally the priority she should have always been, but I am glad she didn't just roll over either. These two were end game and finally get their HEA.
First, this book was awesome, but I absolutely suggest reading My Best Friend’s Brother first. Yes, this is a standalone and can be read as such, but then you miss a lot. It really sets up this book and I’d say a ton, if not most of their story and history is in that book, just from other characters’ perspectives. Also, MBFB was also a great book!
Yay! I was so excited to read Raff and Ellie’s story and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. My expectations were high too! I adored Raff in My Best Friend’s Brother. You could see how much he loved Ell even then. It killed me that Logan was being such a hypocrite about it. Raff was hurting so badly. He acted out, but wasn’t will Ellie and at that point thought he never would be. Usually I am all team FMC, but something about Raff always resonated with me. I was more upset with Ellie throughout, than with Raff. I was so glad when they finally got a HEA!
Great book!!! I loved it!!! I love Raff and Ellie!!!!
Rafael has always had a crush on his best friends sister but he knew that going there would affect his relationship with Logan so he chose to stay away. His friendship was more important to him than anything else. He was able to stay away for years, but what happens when the only girl you’ve ever loved shows back up in your life and you are no longer able to resist her?
We were introduced to Rafael and Ellie in My Best Friend’s Brother and I am so glad that they got their own story! They both tried so hard to move on with their lives without each other but their connection and attraction to each other was just too much. I’m glad that Ellie finally realized what she deserved and that Rafael was able to stand up to Logan for what he wanted.
I gotta say I much preferred the story of Ellie and Rafael to that of Logan and Jess - possibly because we already experienced the drama and teenage stuff that went into their backstory.
These characters are closer to adults now and dealing with adult problems rather than the nonsense of teenage life (and for real - all teens are full of nonsense…all of them. It comes with the age. It’s fine). I was happy to not have to experience it again.
I do wish we would have gotten a more solid wrap up with the side characters of Diego and Halley. They had chapters from their POV which led me to believe they would be bigger players than they ended up being.
I originally read this book before my best friends brother and it can be read as a standalone, however you meet Rafael and Ellie in MBFB and get some back story that gives the book that extra kick and give you a better understanding of the characters. This is a second chance romance with a reformed playboy who just can’t forget the one who got away, these two have a great chemistry that can’t be ignored and they make the most of this second chance and finally get their HEA. It’s a great read, with lovable characters and a great story.
Finally! I knew Raf and El were end game in My Best Friends Brother. I had to read their hea. Raf and Logan have grown so much from their playboy days. Logan was always so protective of his sister and his best friend wasn’t going to be good enough.
We met Rafael in My Best friend's Brother and I couldn't wait for his story. The glimpses we got of him had me intrigued. Linzvonc did not disappoint, loved the way everything came together for Rafael and Ellie. The attraction was always there. And the connection between the two made it so even years later they couldn't move on.
Rafe & Ellie… I don’t know what to say their chemistry is off the charts & so forbidden. I love how strong Ellie’s character is & that she is the one that got away from Rafes life. Rafe use to be a playboy & he also picked his best mate over his love life seen as it was his best mates sister. I’m so glad they stopped resisting each other. Amazing as always by Linzvonc
This is exactly what I need after reading My Best Friends Brother. I needed to know what happened with Raf and oh did I get my answer. This book was short but it answered my questions. Worth the quick read.
This is everything you want and need in a short, steamy romance. Rafael is Ellie's older brother's best friend, and we all know what that means ... OFF LIMITS.
Linzvonc has this amazing ability to pack a punch of the short and steamy vibe, and this has by far been one of my favorite series of hers.
Rafael and El have always had sexual tension, but when he acts on it and his playboy past comes back to bite him in the A$$, what will he do to win back the girl of his dreams?
There is no denying how badly I wanted these two to end up together. Raf shows a great character arc and is willing to do everything right. When El comes back into his life from a relationship that leaves her a little broken, Raf is willing to put the pieces back together, but El has to be willing.
I was so excited for this story and getting to see Raf and El grow together but the journey to a HEA was not as easy as I hoped. Linz does an excellent job in pulling on the heart strings here.
