Set at an experimental community on Mars in the year 2039-2040, Robot Wars features 14-year-old virtual reality specialist Tyce Sanders. Life on the Red Planet is not always easy, but it is definitely exciting. As Tyce explores his strange surroundings, he finds that the mysteries of the planet point to his greatest discovery--a new relationship with God. He talks about his growing faith and curiosity in a manner that kids can relate to as they are probably wondering some of the same things. In book three, "Ambush, " Tyce has to rescue his friend Director Rawlings and three other scientists who are trapped in a cave-in on Mars. He also has to uncover a devious plot that threatens to overtake the spaceship--just as they are nearing the end of their six-month journey from Mars to Earth.
This book is the third in a series and was exciting thrilling and a page turner. I loved how there was two types of major problems, I would definitely recomend this book to anyone who is looking for a sci-fi, action packed and mysterious book!
A really good series that's sci-fi, christian, and for young adults. I like how the characters use science to prove their is a God. But, I think the writing is too simple for the age group it is meant for. Also, the government issues in the book are fine for the age group the books are writen for but would be lost on a younger age group who wouldn't have the trouble of the simple writing. All in all, it is a good series. This book is my favorite from among this series.
By the time we got to the third book me and my nephew were wondering when there will actually be a robot war. It's easy for me to predict the plot as it goes by the same formula as the last two books, but still... my nephew likes it!
this one was very repetitive. if we havent listened to how anything works by now, we would be lost anyway, so reecplaining it over and over is really frustrating. the plot of this one also felt pretty weak.
