Lucy Haydon's matchmaking scheme was a grand success--the dashing Mr. More was smitten by her fair sister. Then More's odious sycophant, Mr. Drury, formed a tendre for Miss Lucy, who was certain he harbored some ghastly secret. If only he weren't so handsome--or his kiss so very unsettling!

I love Ms Devon's humours writing style. This book started so much like pride & prejudice, I thought the plot would be somewhat similar. That wasn't the case at all. I loved the twist and the mystery around the MMC. My only complaint was that it was rather slow paced and the heroine had some tstl moments.

enjoyed how the story went a different path than the one i thought it was going. Love how Lucy successfully out maneuvers all the scheming mamas so that her sister captures the "prize" and how mad and depressed and so very real both Lucy and Camilla's reactions are when they see the true nature of the prize. Loved the dry humour of the hero and naive practicalness of the heroine
