This book looks at all aspects of dealing with this condition, from diagnosis to self-care. I am glad that I had access to this book, but helped a lot with understanding my diagnosis. I am concerned this book is rather dated (2001.) There is recent concern that taking proton inhibitors for too long can lead to dementia. I guess I can do more research on the internet, but I prefer to find literature that has been peer reviewed and edited. I am looking for ways to manage GERD and Hiatus Hernia without medicine. Maybe some more reviewers can suggest additional resources.

I learned an awful lot in this book about how to treat my own Hiatal Hernia and what it was all about. Having a detailed description on what it is makes it all so easy to understand and cope with.
