Secrets Of Lost Arrow

Rate this book
Spring break has arrived at last, and Juniper's headed to her grandmother's house in Lost Arrow for a visit. This year she's bringing along her friends Anne and Gena, the two other members of the Fortune Tellers Club.

Something strange is going on in the graveyard near Nan's house. Each night a mysterious glow rises near Lightfoot Creek, casting an eerie light over the cemetery and creeping toward the house.

Nan's starting to act weird, and Juniper soon discovers that she's been sneaking out in the middle of the night. Can the Fortune Tellers Club solve the mystery of the glow before Nan disappears for good?

I'm the author of literally (get it) dozens of books for children.

Born in Killeen, Texas on a cold January day in 1954. My family moved around a lot, allowing me to, over the years, live on a farm, in an historic home and always near rivers or bayous. My playthings were hula-hoops, old typewriters and a wooden leg named Charlie. (Yep, you read that right.) If you want a true glimpse of my childhood dreams, read my novel, Man in the Moon. The character Janine allows you inside my young mixed-up mind.

I’ve lived most of my life in Houston and still live there today. You’ll find me here reading, writing and smiling.

This was a very simplistic children's book that I am anxious to pass along to my grandchildren. I particularly appreciated the idea of Nan helping souls "cross over." This was gentle and mild rather than wild and raucous, which was especially enjoyable! I would gladly read more in the series.

My only complaint is the editing. At least 4 major grammatical/spelling errors! Llewellyn Publications could use a final editor, IMHO!
