I read this book to Maeve so I'm counting this as a book read. (Unlike Pat the Bunny which I was in the room for, but not reading).

I changed the gender of the lamb when I read this. Maeve (6 months old) found it okay but was not overly interested in the story and only marginally interested in grabbing the finger puppet. I think she might be a little too young. (She preferred a book with large fabric sheets she could really grab and pull). She did like it better than the text-only Les Miserable book that had nothing to grab and we did not finish reading.

Are you looking for a stocking stuffer for the new baby on your Christmas list? Chronicle Kids Books has created and published 80 books in their Finger Puppet/Board Book Series. This series includes all kinds of animals from the farm, to the forest, to the ocean to the imaginary. Every single one of the books is adorable and is perfect for interacting with your baby or toddler while reading this short and sweet story. These books are great for tucking in the diaper bag and taking out in the car or while waiting in the grocery checkout line. At just four inches, the books are a great size for young children to hold.

Little Lamb is super excited to play. The lamb puppet can much on grass or smell the flowers as you turn the pages with your child. As the lamb reflects on his fun day and noticing the clouds look like him, you can tuck him and say Good Night.

Little Finger Puppet books make great gifts for a shower or one year old birthday party. Little Lamb is my favorite so far, perhaps because little lamb is really quite cute and because he's very interactive, sniffing the flowers and looking at the sky and whatnot. Babies love to grab him (er, bite him?). Toddlers love taking over the puppet actions.

This type of finger puppet book is a much bigger hit with my five month old than it ever was with my daughter at a year. He just loves to grab at the book and the little lamb. Otherwise the story is not too exciting.

Aylah Lee really loves this book that we got her for her 10 month birthday! The finger puppet is very fun and the pages are very thick which I like. The story is short and fun.

The finger puppet is a great way to keep kids entertained. It always causes my kids to giggle, even my 4 year old. Story and illustrations are OK.
