Now, that was an experience.
Now I'm the queen of reading weird books- but this one made me laugh, cry, and traumatized me all at once. This series has been loaded with ups and downs for me- and the last time I attempted this series was an year ago.. I'm still haunted by joystick penis and scrumptious buffet of vagina.
I however decided to give it a try again.
The book started out very well. Savannah is the orphan, whose parents had suffered from Hansen's disease- forcing them to give her up. This has made her an outcast all her life, with people treating her like a leper most of the time.
Patrick on the other hand is a happy go lucky guy. During his childhood, he once sees his soulmate's shadow in a mystic well and names her Destiny.
Years later, he's a Marine and bumps into her literally- that's how our hero and heroine meet. Savannah has lived a life full of rejections- so the way Patrick treated her was beautiful. She is really an under-confident heroine- but Patrick loves and cherishes her.
This continues until the hero moves to Afghanistan because of war.
Now coming to my main and only problem with this book- the sex scenes.. and description of body parts.
For example
- baby bottle nipples
- Porn star pussy
- Fat sword penis
- Sperm lip gloss
Just to name a few..
I've noticed these cringe worthy comparisons in the author's previous works- which made me abandon this series initially- but then I thought I was too judgmental and came back to it. It pulls you away from the story and it just did that.
There are a lot of mystical elements- and a lot of plot jumps. From the heroine suddenly becoming an psychic empath, to what happened to the hero- the story gets a bit confusing at times.
After that the hero is supposedly killed in the war- and just for the angst i expected I got back into the story. The way Patrick behaves after returning in fit if jealousy.. egh. And I felt really bad for Savannah.
Overall- it could have been an Amazing read.. if we removed the sex scenes.

Forget Me Never (Hell Yeah! Cajun Heat series) by Sable Hunter

Savannah and Patrick

YOU'LL LAUGH, CRY, AND LAUGH AGAIN!

I'm almost done with this series... one more book to go and I'm so sadden that it'll be ending soon. I certainly hope Ms. Hunter dreams up some additional hot Bayou/Cowboys to write about! This one was sort of talked about in it's predecessor, Burning Love, but I wasn't aware of that till I started reading this one and freaking way the fuck out!! This particular installment is not a light-hearted read, but more like a heart wrenching, gut stabbing, and hands clenching tale that will have your tummy in so many knots, you'll probably pass out from the anguish!

Savannah is one of those types of people that you just know... you could walk up to her on the street and just know in your heart she's seen and been though so much more shit than most. Her eyes would tell a story of heartbreak, ridicule, and isolation. Even though you'd see happiness and aspiration in her face, if you looked really deep, you'd see that was a cover up for much deeper turmoil! She's certainly been placed up there with my top 10 much loved heroines. Now Patrick, how to describe him. Smart, brawny, beautiful, kind, loving, and above all dedicated to his cause and the people he loves the most! The way these two met and fell in love just warms my heart and swoons the heck out of my heart! Great supporting characters in Patrick's friends and Savannah's! So many chuckles and snickers had at the hands of those crazy peeps!

The way this book flowed and kept me enthralled from beginning to end is no little deed. I have to say, lately the books I read have to have a certain sort of angst, mixed with the right amount of sex appeal and humor to keep me engrossed. Well, this has it, as does every other book by Sable Hunter! I actually like how the point of view altered between Savannah and Patrick to give me each of their standpoints on things. It's 269 (kindle version) pages long and 269 was just right. Not too extensive, not too short... just long enough to bring you to your knees and have you laughing, weeping, and then laughing again, seemingly all at the same time!

I can't say enough about this book. If you read Burning Love (the predecessor), you'll get a glimpse of Patrick and Savannah, but it won't be what you think... and DON'T think too much, because when you get to Forget Me Never, you'll be clutching your heart almost right away! Looking ahead to the next chapter in the Hell Yeah! Cajun Heat series, Finding Dandi! Thanks Sable for one of the most captivating series I've read in a long time!

5 stars!

Another beautiful book by Sable Hunter along with the help of Jess Hunter and Ryan O'Leary. We first met Savannah Doucet in Burning Love (Cajun Spice). She is in love with Patrick O'Rourke, a hunky Marine, that first fell for Savannah (Destiny) at age 13. Their lives were destined to be intertwined. When I started to read this book, I knew from reading Burning Love (Cajun Spice) what happened to Patrick. I was prepared and unprepared at the same time. Sable, Jess and Ryan did a wonderful job telling this story. I was an emotional wreck but had to keep going to find out how this love story would have a happy ending. One thing I will say, is always trust what an animal, in this case Ciara, does and they know about unconditional love. What a beautiful story this was, so passionate and real. Sable, Jess and Ryan showed the emotions of each character and their battles they struggled through was described so well you could really imagine it happening right before your eyes. I felt so connected to Patrick and Savannah. They were both truly so great, and belonged to each other. Again wonderful job Sable and great to see Jess join her along with Ryan. I can't wait until the next book is released. I am a Sable Hunter junkie and I'm addicted to her books in a good way.

Sable Hunter has once again written a book that includes not only romance, a bit of mystery, and a lot of spice, she has written a book with a lot of history in this one. I found the beginning most unusual for one of her books, but it all made sense once I got into the book. I had never known about the way those with something now referred to as Hansen's disease were treated back in the day. I found the background and the beginning of the book really interesting and the story line sweet and romantic with a lot of SPICE! More than usual I believe. I think you'll find the characters in this book believable and they will draw you into their story. I thought it was a great story and I couldn't put it down until the very end. Of course it leaves you wanting more.....as Sables books usually do. I highly recommend the book! Keep reading........... ~ : )

Forget Me Never ... Never gonna happen!

This is another winner in the Cajun Spice Hell Yeah series. And what an emotional read this is.

It begins with Savannah's mother being sent to a hospital for patients with leprosy, where she mets the love of her life Miguel. And this is where the serious tears begin in this story. Have a fresh box of Kleenex on hand because the tears will just be starting at this point. At another point in the book the tears were just heart wrenching.

Savannah has a very difficult childhood being raised in foster homes, and treated cruelly out of fear she will spread the same illness as her parents. But this does not stop her from becoming a very warm, sweet and compassionate woman. She has a few close friends who adore her. But she has never been kissed or hugged or been on a date.

Patrick looked into a well as a young teenager and saw the face of the woman he was to marry, he never forgot her and called her his Destiny. Raised by a loving grandfather, he has return to the states on leave from the Marines to place his grandfather in a nursing home. His grandfather Paddy is suffering from Alzheimer's and Patrick's one fear in life is to be Forgotten. Trying to find some records to help trace family members for Paddy, Patrick meets Savannah. The minute he turns around and she smiles he knows she is his Destiny. These two are just adorable with their first meeting. And their courtship. And you will find with these two, a true love that will survive through anything.

If I write anymore I will ruin the story. You will not be disappointed with this book.

Great story! I don't know how did I miss this one while reading Hell Yeah! Series? Although there are many ghost hunting in this story and other magics I still regard this as contemporary romance.

Savannah has to endure prejudice her whole life because her parents are lepers. She has never known who her parents are and never be loved util she meets Patrick. Their love grow so quick that Savannah can't believe Patrick not only wants her but also want to spend his life with her. However, tragic happens, and the only thing makes Savannah keep on living is her promise to Patrick that she will forget him never. Don't worry, the story has an HEA!

This book was HOT!!! I read a LOT of romance novels, and even some erotica, and this book was by far the most sensual book I've read. I almost didn't read this one after finding out in Burning Love what Patrick's fate was. I just didn't know if I wanted to read a love story that ends that way. I'm SOOOOOOOO glad I read it anyways! Absolutely awesome romance, angst, and plenty of heartbreak. Definitely one of the top romance novels I've read.

Forget Me Never by Sable Hunter is an awesome book. Ms Hunter has given us a well-written book. I really enjoyed the characters in this story, they are phenomenal. Savannah and Patrick's story has lots of drama, humor, suspense and a touch of paranormal along with some sizzling sexy bits. I enjoyed reading Forget Me Never and look forward to my next Sable Hunter book. Forget Me Never is book 7 of the Hell Yeah! Series - Cajun Style but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

A great read would recommend

I really enjoy the hell yeah series. The situations and the dialogue are realistic there is Mystic voodoo and a good mystery. The way the spice is woven into the novel and conversations is what you read a romantic novel for . You also get a lesson in history.

Forget Me Never is a book that just kind of stays with you and haunts you. I suggest reading this one with lots of Kleenex. I can’t even begin to say how much Sable out did herself with this one. It has just everything in it one sexy Marine that grabs you heart, a damaged woman that is so beyond great, and a gut wrenching tale that you just can’t seem to put down.

Savannah grew up with a dark cloud over her due to the circumstances of her birth, and thought she never would be loved. So to say she doesn’t believe Nana Fontenot when she tells her this was the day she would meet ‘the warrior who will be your husband’. Nana Fontenot is not one to be wrong, but this time Savannah thinks she is. Even when she talks to the gorgeous Marine, and he ask her to lunch she still has her doubts about his sincerity. She thinks he is only chatting with her to get her help doing research into his family history at the Culture Center where she works.

Patrick can’t believe he is seeing the woman with the face that has haunted him for years. He has called her his destiny, and now she is in front of him. He is going to spend ever second he has with her, unfortunately that isn’t too long since he will have to report in to ship out to Afghanistan this afternoon. He gets this wonderful woman to agree to email him, and proceeds to get to know her and seduce her from the other side of the world. Many months later he gets to come home and spend some amazing weeks with her, and just when he gets her to agree to be his wife he is shipped back overseas.

If you read Burning Love book one of this series you know that Savannah’s fiancé doesn’t make it back to her. I will not tell you much past that, except that to read what she went through ripped the heart from my chest. I cried like it was a family member I was reading about. If you remember correctly Savannah is a ghost hunter, and she uses that talent to help her heal and to search for her Patrick to get to talk to him once more.

To say this is a wonderful book is just a huge understatement. I fell for Patrick as hard as Savannah did. I think honestly I have found a new book boyfriend. I hope y’all will read not only this book but the first one in this series. They are absolutely must reads!!!! I hope y’all love them as much as I have!!

I am in pure speechless about how I feel about this book. Oh I loved it no doubt about that. Sable Hunter wow just wow and she had some help writing this one also. Ryan O'Leary and Jess Hunter. The three of them had produced the most powerful emotional love story I have ever read. This is a very emotional book. Get the box of tissues ready cause your going to need it here.

Savannah oh my heart rose and fell so many time for her throughout this whole book. I actually had to stop reading to just cry. The hurt she went through just felt so real to me. She grew up a leper baby. Because of her parents being lepers she grew up alone without even a hug from someone. Her foster parents were cruel but not as bad as you think. Just words they hurt her with. She grew up and got to work for a place called the Culture Center. There is where she me Patrick O'Rourke. She had just learned from a fortune teller that she will meet her warrior and marry him. But none the less because of who she was she didn't think she had a chance. Boy was she wrong. But lets move on from here. Patrick was gone and she was pregnant with his baby. She used his money to continue his legacy. She hurt for three years and one night while she slept she had the most amazing sex she has had in years. Hhmmm you wonder how that can happen. Well I'm not going to say. Your going to have to read the book.

Patrick was a sexy Marine if I don't say so myself. It was just him and his grandpa. Once when he was little he looked in a well and saw his destiny. He drew the picture so he would never forget her face. While grown up and at the Culture Center to look for past family for his grandpa he met his destiny. He fell head over heals. But since he was shipping out the next day he made the afternoon special for both. He kept up with the emailing and video chat. Once she was in trouble he sent his best friend Revel to help. Coming home they had the most wonderful time until he shipped out again. Of course he knew this one would be the worst one yet. I won't say no more since I would love for you to read the book yourself and find out what happens.

This book is so worth the money to buy. Its one of those books your going to want to keep forever and share with your grandkids when they are of age. Its a heart warming experience.

Savannah was raised in foster care because her parents had leprosy. Everyone has always treated her like she had it too. When Patrick was young he looked in an old well and saw the face of his future bride. Years later he us at a museum and when Savannah comes up to him and asks for a lunch date, he is surprised to see she is the one he saw in the well. Patrick is a Marine and is being shipped off the next day so he spends the day with Savannah and asks if he can call & email her. When he comes back he moves in with her and things are great until he is shipped out again. This time he doesn't come back. Savannah is devastated and starts trying to find his spirit. But when she gets a phone call & an email from Patrick she believes he is still alive.

First off let me say the story was excellent. The sex was very hot and I cried my eyes out. Some of the dialogue was not believable and one paragraph would be her thoughts next would be his. It would go back and forwards like that and it drove me crazy. In one paragraph she was talking and the next paragraph 3 yrs had passed. No chapter change or even the little stars to separate the paragraphs.
*****************
Also she put her self down way to much. They say "Patrick puts his fat sword in her mouth" that was the stupidest thing I have ever read. There were a couple of grammar errors but some might not be bothered by these things like I am. But I had to finish it. So if you want a sexy, tear jerker with a little suspense...this is for you.

This installment in the Hell Yeah! series is hard to forget. It could have easily just been a tear jerker but instead, it addresses feelings, social stigma, prejudice and forgiveness that everyone on the planet can relate to. At first I wanted to feel sorry for Savannah but then I realized she didn't need sympathy. Savannah is a strong woman and has a good heart and so much love to share--yet she is alone. How crazy is that?! There are millions like Savannah in the world struggling with acceptance who never find it. Fortunately Savannah was able to find all that she desired in one man...Patrick. Patrick embodied everything someone would want in their other half: protection, bravery, honesty, duty, loyalty, love and so many more adjectives...essentially the perfect mate. I'd like to believe there is a Patrick for every Savannah out there in the world and that they too will find each other and live happily ever after. A good story filled with strong characters, hot sex, loyal sidekicks, on two and four legs, humor and voices from the grave. A page turner and one not to miss.

Well done Miss Hunter you were able to accomplish what few have, with this story you made me cry. So please heed my advice and have your tissues handy with this one. It pulls you in from page one and does not let you go.

Set among the rich history of the Louisiana bayous with a supernatural flair tells us an amazing love story. Savannah has always longed to be touched by love but due to her past and misunderstood prejudices she has resigned herself to being alone. Enter Patrick, a handsome, sexy, honorable Marine who knows Savannah is his destiny. Will love truly be able to conquer all? Or will the past tear them apart forever?

Amazing! This book had it all from well-developed, relatable characters, heart breaking moments to scorching sheets. I highly recommend this book you will not be disappointed with the superb job done by Miss Sable Hunter along with Mr. Jess Hunter and Mr. Ryan O’Leary. I look forward to reading their work in the future.

Sable Hunter sure knows how to write! Each book in this series has left me feeling that the next one could not be better, but I am totally wrong, the series just keeps getting better. Patrick and Savannah's story is very touching, precious, and heart wrenching. Patrick is a marine, whose greatest fear is being forgotten. Savannah has had a tough, lonely life since being born. Finding Patrick puts an end to that, she is no longer alone, and finally after years has someone to hold her and love her, the circumstances of her birth had made that impossible. After reading Burning Love, I knew what would eventually happen to Patrick, but I was still totally unprepared, the tears just rolled several times. This book is loaded with historical information, suspense, steamy romance, and a roller coaster ride of emotions. Get your Kleenex ready, you will need them. You will laugh, cry, smile, and sigh, over and over again. Cannot say enough about this book, kudos to Sable Hunter, Jess, and Ryan, for a job well done! Need more than 5 stars for this one.

In the second “Cajun Style” “Hell Yeah!” book, we get Savannah’s full story. Savannah Ducet was introduced to us in “Burning Love”, where she was suffering the loss of her fiancé Patrick O’Rourke. Here we get to see how Savannah and Patrick first met and how they were separated. Savannah is a lovely young woman, but due to how she has been treated over the years, she doesn’t realise her own beauty and self-worth. She is also hiding a secret that she fears to reveal to anyone, least of all to Patrick. Once her secret is in the open, everything should have worked out for them, but then Patrick’s duty as a soldier tears them apart. When Patrick is declared dead, Savannah is inconsolable. She tries to go on with her life as best as she can, but it’s almost impossible for her. But then something happens that gives her hope. Can Patrick truly be alive or is someone playing a cruel trick on her?

Forget Me Never (Hell Yeah! Cajun Style: Book 2) Oh my freaking gosh!! I loved Patrick and Savannah. I really felt for Savannah being all alone. And Patrick is her marine in shining armor. I loved how he took so good care of her and loved her unconditionally. He calls her his Destiny!! When he was reported dead, I cried with Savannah. Now you know Sable's books have a HEA, so I knew something would happen but he was missing for like 3 years. This book was filled with so much love, my heart was just bursting. Savannah's girlfriends were just too funny at times, and I also loved Patrick's fellow marines. I wouldn't mind seeing books in the future about them. I do recommend that you read this book. If you are already a Sable Hunter fan, you won't be disappointed. This is also a collaboration with Ryan O'Leary and Jess Hunter. Their books are great also. Graphic sex scenes, so be warned.

HELL YEAH! WOW! WHAT A GREAT SERIES, I L.O.V.E. IT!!! THIS WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES, STORYLINE WAS GREAT. SHOWING JUST HOW STRONG THE POWER OF LOVE CAN BE, HOW CRUEL MAN CAN BE TO ONE ANOTHER(needed tissues several times, sniff). I LOVE BOOKS WITH A SOUTHERN FLAVOR, BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE MY FAMILY ORIGINALLY CAME FROM. I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH HISTORY FROM THIS SERIES, SOME I KNEW FROM MY GRANDMOTHER & MOM TELLING ME ABOUT WHEN I WAS A SMALL CHILD. I LOVE HOW THE AUTHOR WEAVES THE HISTORY OF THE SOUTH INTO HER STORIES. SHE ALSO WRITES SOME VERY, VERY, STEAMY HOT EROTIC SEXXY LOVE SCENES. WOO-HOO! TOE CURLING, BREAKIN OUT IN A COLD SWEAT, PANTY WETTING, GOOOOOOODNESS!!!! YUMMY!

Beautiful, raw, original love story about connection that holds over time and obstacles. The story touched my heart, keep your tissues close by, you are going to need them.
Yes, there is a lot of sex scenes, graphic ones. But since there is offer of the sweeter version of each book in Hell Yeah series, if you don't like them, you have a choice.
The book could have been build more into the suspense, military aspect of the story, but with everything else going on in the series, I understand that the 3 year disappearance was not put emphasis on.
More richness to the story is brought by the colorful history, culture, and stories of Louisiana, as well as the interesting aspect of ghost hunting.
I wish there wasn't so many editorial mistakes.
