A compressive and succinct account of veganism and all the logic and sensibility behind it. Perfect for a reader who’s not yet a vegan but veering towards the right side of the vegan spectrum. However, I still enjoyed it despite making that shift many years ago.
A must read for vegans...... and those who aren't there yet
I enjoyed this book immensely. Haven't eaten red meat in about three years but in early 2021 I became 'whole food plant based' for health concerns from years of not eating right and eating packaged 'plant based' foods. (Don't fall for any of them!). I lost 55 pounds after six months and got off my medications. I'm 65 years old. There's no turning back now. It's like a new lease on life. I have since studied more about the this lifestyle change and this book is right up there with the best of them. Well written, easy to read, fact driven info with resources for follow-up. There is a learning curve I.e. Eating out, traveling, socializing, etc. One day at a time. It's so worth it! Can't wait to read the rest in the series.
This book was very helpful on a personal level. Although I'm not a vegan, I have issued vegan like products into my diet due to issues such as lactose intolerant and acid reflux. I recommend this book as well as the author. Very insightful read
This is a similar book with a different more extreme take on veganism. I love that we are provided with stats and proof and not just someone saying something. I’m glad they also included recipes and way to cut certain things out.
There was so much I didn't know or understand about Veganism, this book opened my eyes to how consuming meat affects not only my health,but the world around me.
