Rishis And Rishikasby Prof. Shrikant PrasoonKnow the Rishis and Rishikas, the early creations and their descendents, the wise men and women of the unknown and unfathomable eons, that were the embodiments of knowledge and sublimity, purity and humanity and compassion and humility. They were great scientists, discoverers, and research guides; and inventors of food-grain to fruits and flowers; of ploughs and yoke to Ayurveda and herbal medicines; from boats and ships to road-transports and planes; of everything that we possess today, from celestial bodies to metaphysics, geometry, trigonometry, algebra and photography, and numerous other things. We are proud of them and their gifts.Know the Rishis and Rishikas that knew and taught all about the earth and universe; planets and constellation; climate, seasons and meteorology, clouds, rain, water, fire, space and soil. They gave us the ways of constructing huts and ashramas to temples and palaces, and made us know the physical body and spiritual self, the outer reality and the inner truth, and taught us the ways of health, wealth, peace, pleasure and prosperity. For an author bio and photo, reviews and a reading sample, visit www.pustakmahal.comFor addition information on publishing your books on iBook,iPhone And iPad please visit www.AppsPublisher.com
Rishis and Rishikas---the seers of "richas" and "mantras"---this book throws light on those benign beings. Their humility, divine universal love, kindness, and even anger at times, their boons and curses, and what not ! This book tells about 'em all in a brief and logical fashion. Might have required great research and also intuition by the author to present it in such wondrous manner ! It takes great effort and ability to filter the relevant from the mess of piles of literature, quite a huge part which is susceptible for being false (given the long time that made it prone to distortions by humans). I'd not advocate for the entire content to be true though.. many could just be stories, but the book made more sense to me than any other religious book as such. (This could be personal to me however, and not necessarily everyone who reads it may agree with me.)
Great examples and incidents are mentioned in the book that show the capabilities and compassion of Rishis. The book explains about their lineages as well; it mentions numerous incidences where we can be sure that the science of "all that IS" was much more developed and known to these scientists whom we call Rishis.
The last section of the book mentions various facts that sound unbelievable but seem to have been carrying within them the explanations that modern science has yet to find.
Anyway, I'd say its a must read for any curious soul who wishes to learn about Rishis, and a glimpse to what it takes to be one.
