Cute and fun Halloween book that kids will ask for again and again. I can see this book as an excellent addition to any classroom Halloween party too.

Oh, that's a good idea. The button is the doorbell of a spooky house. This is entertaining, and my kids respond to the interactive elements.

Don’t Push the Button!: A Halloween Treat was a great read. The art style is so different but beautifully matches the story. I liked that the main character, Larry, interacts with the reader the entire time. The story elicits curiosity and laughter in the reader. Kids will delight in the irony of a monster being scared to approach a spooky house. This was a very engaging picture book. I would read more by this author/illustrator.

I really like this one! I know it's super early for Halloween books, but I was at work so I picked it up, since it looked really fun. The illustrations were bright, colorful, and engaging, and I loved how you crept through the woods with the weird monster thingy! Honestly, children's books are so fun and entertaining, I can't help but want to collect them, if not for the fun, cooky, illustrations, and eclectic stories.
Anyway, five out of five stars! I wish I read this as a kid!

While enjoying a night of trick or treating, the Monster character is terribly afraid of going near one large haunted house and insists with the reader not to "push the button"! What does a kid do when they are told not to do something? The opposite of course! After entering the haunted house and pressing more buttons and other interactions, the Monster is delighted to find a surprise party awaiting him inside.

This is the third of these books I’ve reviewed as a parent. I don’t know what that says about me, but here we go:

Out of all of Cotter’s Don’t Push the Button books this is our favorite. The other’s have you push a button, draw lines, or drag eggs, but this one gives your kid an excuse to yell “trick or treat!” Or yell “Boo!” We read it about once a day and I haven’t gone crazy yet.
I think?

Another ‘Don’t Push that Button’ book. My daughter loves these.

This one is Halloween themed, and very cute. I don’t think either of the holiday ones is as good as the original book, but they’re still fun.

My daughter loves how interactive these books are, and has wanted to read this one multiple times.

If you like the original book, you’ll like this spin-off.

This is a great Halloween themed picture book that children at young ages can interact with. I read this to a group of Pre-K who loved trying to push the button whenever I read not to. It felt very interactive for them and they loved being able to push the button when they could. This is definitely a book that has to be read with enthusiasm.

What an interactive book! My toddler loves this book and can pretty much read (act it out) himself after reading it several times with me. Gives kids the opportunity to ring doorbells, pretend cut with scissors, clap their hands and say things aloud. Very clever and cute.

My son gets really into each page of this book...doing all the steps! This one is better than the original Don't Push the Button because there is a greater variety of things to do!

Quick read! Best for one on one. Although it worked with a trick or treat themed group storytime.
