This is the kind of manga that can go from a "normal" high school story (studying for a make up test and having the opportunity to cheat) to some dark and serious stuff (a country torn apart by terrorism). And it works. It strikes that delicate balance really well.

Reiichi's decision to stay on the train puts him into yet another dangerous situation. At a stop in the mountain city of Silverado, students are required to do an immeasurable deed and secure a special amulet from one of the mountain people. But when an avalanche traps everyone on the mountain and class is cancelled, students and staff have to find a way to survive before they freeze to death.

I feel like this series keeps getting better, as we get more shades to the characters and more glimpses of the world that shapes them. There are moments that are odd (like the dominatrix nun, who while entertaining, still feels a bit odd in the middle of this story.)
