I loved this book!!! I remember reading this book as a young girl, and wished i had a Lassie of my own.. I liked the idea of having my best friend be a dog..

I could read this book a hundred times and it will bring me to tears every time. A sentimental read for me.

The book is just "Lassie", GoodReads has the title wrong... there is no "Best Friends Are Forever" in the title -_-

I was sick the day of RIF in 5th grade (or was it 4th?) and the teacher picked this out for me. The movie was okay but it was not a book I would have picked out for myself. Just wanted to read it one more time while sorting through old books before I pass it along to my nephew.

It's an okay book but it's meant for younger readers so it's pretty fast and rather simple reading for an adult.
