J.P. Bowie was born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland. He wrote his first (unpublished) novel – a science fiction tale of brawny men and brawnier women that made him a little suspect in the eyes of his family for a while.

Leaving home at age eighteen for the bright lights of London, he found himself in the midst of a “diverse and creative crowd” that eventually led him to the performing arts. For the next twelve years he sang, danced and acted his way around the theatres of London and the provinces, appearing in shows with many famous British singers, actors and comedians.

After immigrating to the US and living for many years in Las Vegas where he worked for that incomparable duo, Siegfried and Roy, J.P. found himself entranced by the fair city of San Diego where he currently lives with his partner, Phil.

J.P. loves to hear from his readers and can be contacted at jpbowie@cox.net

This story featured Ron and Jean Claude as the MCs. I like this story because I got the sense that Ron was the more aggressive one of the two and he was the human. The story was lighter than the first one and it featured Marcus and Roger at the end:)

I couldn't get past page 20. Not my cup of tea at all. The writing switched back and forth between the human and the vampire, designated by italics for the vamp. It played out like a Role Played story. It was also kind of boring with no emotional pull. Even though it was written in First-person, it was still a lot of tell and not much show and I had no interest, in the characters or story, to finish the book. Usually I'll muster on to see if a story gets better, but the style of writing put me off, too. Oh, well. Just not to my taste.

Read this whole series and though its a bit cliched...vampire meets boy, vampire sleeps with/bites boy, boy becomes vampire, vampires live happily for all eternity....its still a good read has action in each book because each vampire has a problem from there past they must take care of to save the life of there mate themselves and the relationship between them.

Well, I'm a little disappointed in My Vampire Lover. It had a very weak connection to the first book, My Vampire and I, and maybe that's the way it was intended, but I missed not having that connection. Anyway, it's a good book, albeit short, but a cute story.

There was no character or relationship development in this book. These guys met and they're in love. I didn't buy it and the author certainly didn't try to sell it to me. The book felt rushed and underdeveloped. I enjoyed the first entry in this series so this was especially disappointing.
