Experience the Power and Glory of a Trip to Heaven! Heaven is a very real place. It has often been pictured as a place where everyone sits on fluffy clouds and plays a harp for eternity. According to the Word of God, however, this picture is far from the truth. So what is heaven really like?
In this book, Jesse Duplantis shares several events that have happened to him in his relationship with God--events he calls close encounters of the God kind. One of these events is his trip to heaven in 1988. He tells of the wonderful things the Lord has in store for us, both in heaven and on earth.
"I believe that if people could see the treasures that God has stored up for them in heaven, they wouldn't have such a hard time understanding God's will to prosper and heal them while they are on earth . . . . Anything that you can think of, anything you could want on earth has already been given to you there." --Jesse Duplantis
As you read this book, you will discover the depth of the compassion and love God has for you. Your faith will be strengthened and encouraged as Jesse reveals answers too many questions about this wonderful place:
* What is Paradise?
* Are there children in heaven?
* Will I recognize family members?
* Will I really have my own mansion there?
* What is God's great Throne Room like?
* Plus much more!
It is God's desire that everyone spends eternity in heaven. So enjoy these close encounters of the God kind for yourself and join Jesse Duplantis in spreading the wonderful message that Jesus is coming again soon!
I loved this book; I could read it again and again. Touching, heart lifting, compelling, fascinating, what more could I say. I love how he described he was taken to Heaven, and the power that God has even in his baby finger if he just moved it a little. What can I say the book just took me to Heaven; it’s a book that I just could not put down. Loved it. Five stars!
I simply was captivated by this book. It was a fantastic read. I read it in 4 hours and could feel the presence of God. Thank you Jesse for sharing your story. ~Debbie:)
Are you curious about heaven? Well, who isn't? Since my mother was promoted to heaven in 2008, my curiosity has and continues to peak! In Heaven, Jesse Duplantis describes his visit to Paradise and offers the reader a chance to strengthen their faith by giving a glimpse of all that awaits those who follow and love Jesus Christ. Children, families, dogs, cats, horses and much more is just a little of what Jesse describes seeing during his visit. And, unlike most people, Jesse did not acquire his “pass” to heaven by dying, he was merely chosen by God to come so that he could return and spread the gospel, or the good news. I recently had a chance to listen to Jesse give a sermon at my church and he truly is committed to spreading the gospel. If he ever comes to your area, go see him, and read this book!
Here's a small part of the big message this book shares about following God's plan for your life.
"I'm a man who believes in taking steps by faith. I won't stay in the boat; I'm going to walk on that water! My feet may get wet and I might sink a few times, but I know that Jesus will always be out there on that water, and He always is. Before I go down, I grab for His feet. Then He picks me up, dries me off and sends me on across that sea. There;s nothing we can't do through Christ Jesus. As God's Word says, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23."
This is the story about a mother who prayed, and a son who walked the line away from God. God wins, and it seems the farther he walks from God -the more he finds God standing in front of him.
WOW! This book was an Eye Opener for me and confirmed things in my heart from knowing, living and being a servant. We will Serve here and in Heaven. Jesus was a Servant and We should be too. Liked what he had to say about Meeting Father Abraham, seeing the Apostle Paul teaching, Peter and that Heaven is about Families!!! Goes well w/"Divine Revelation of Heaven & Hell" by Mary K. Baxter and "Heaven is for Real" by Burpoo.
A very quick and easy read. I read it in one afternoon. When I was born again at the age of 24 Jesse Duplantis's sermons were instrumental in my new life in God. I watched the DVD of "Heaven: Close Encounters of the God Kind" over and over again. I recently bought the book, 16 years after the first time I'd seen the DVD. I was hoping for a bit more detail than the message he preached but it was basically word for word the same. Still an amazing and inspiring testimony though.
This was another one I read several years ago. I really enjoyed it. i love this guys personality. He is definitely a comedian and I love his experience. It made me look forward to specific things in heaven once I read it.
Jesse Duplantis' experience is from a familiar spirit. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujSMW.... He starts out with pretending to pursue God, and end with his real goal for you- focus on success. Read KUNDALINI WARNING - Are False Spirits Invading the Church? By Andrew Strom. God showed me that Word of Faith is operated by the Kundalini spirit. Jesse is a false prophet. This is a powerful spirit. It's a test. Read your bible. Kundalini twists the Word of God. Word of Faith tells you you need to tithe in order to be blessed. But where should you tithe? Is it definitely Jesse? Do you believe in the fruits of their ministry? So he can get even richer while you stay poor. Does he not know what he is telling you is a lie? Or it's always God's will to give you wealth and health. What about Job? His story is our story, that we will lose things in this life. Doesn't mean we don't have enough faith. Read Jesus Goes To McDonald's by Luiz Alexandre Solano Rossi. Having a great life is a lie. When you become a Christian, the devil is after you. Everyday a battle, not a cushion. Or not to question those in positions of spiritual power. Yet Paul called out false teachers! Word of Faith movement is a bunch of garbage. If you accept it, you will, like me, have years of struggle, where you are looking for a "sign" God is with you. The only sign is His Word! They talk about not being "religious," as if an empty undiscerning mind ready to accept false doctrines is the Way to accept God. You must hold on to the true doctrine. Matthew 24:10-13 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Once saved, always saved is a lie. To be saved, you must confess you are a sinner, that you put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior and will submit to Him in all things, including every part of your life, and with His help, that you will stop sinning. The deception here is really great! The manipulation is subtle, but with the Holy Spirit's help you can detect it. Truth mixed with lies is LIES. The positivity, the blabbing out promises without faith, the holding God hostage- Sure you can hold God hostage, but will He really find no falsehood among you? Jesse is bewitching you, and lulling you to sleep. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB4QF.... See if these teachings really stand up to the light of the Word of God.
If it's Jesse Duplantis, you already know it's #forhereticalresearchonly . But let's see why. Jesse is not satisfied with the Bible. The Lord Jesus told us many times that He is coming back, described Heaven in great detail, and told us how to get there. But Jesse believes that God needed Jesse's "visit" to Heaven to convince you that He really means all those things. Along the way, Jesse reveals things that the Bible never told us, like one of the names on the twelve foundations of Heaven is Paul! Who knew? He describes Abraham, David, and Jonah. He seems to incendentally describe Jesus. But it is his description of the Father that told me that Jesse never actually went to Heaven. Here's a portion of his description: "I looked again, and saw the lower part of His hand resting on the arm of the Throne. He is so big - you can't describe Him in a dimension. His hand is huge! His body, the form of it, is sort of like energy, spirit." But what does the Bible say? John 1:18 says, "No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him." According to Jesse, one must add to the Word - "except Jesse Duplantis. " John 4:24a says, "God is spirit," and 1 Timothy 1:17 says God is "invisible." But none of that applies to Jesse. All those he met, by the way, Paul, Abraham, Jonah, and David, know Jesse by name! So he's already a pretty big deal in Heaven. And Jesus needed Jesse to tell the world that He is coming back because, you know, the Bible and Jesus's promise to return were just not enough! Oh, avoid this book and Jesse Duplantis!
From Kevin Basconi, kevin L. zadai, Kenneth E Hagin, Seneca, James W Goll, David E Taylor, Patricia King, Ezekiel, Apostle Paul and John, Isaiah all these people and much more others who had an encounter with God. I ask God am i the worst sinner? I want to see Jesus face to face as well, not Because i don't believe in Him, or whether i see him or not. I simply want to experience what i read as well. This book really kept me interested i couldn't put it down. But it was a blessing to me and help want tk spread Jesus love and message that Jesus is coming back, the Father is hungry for us. The book is in line with scriptures. What i read in Seneca's 40 days in heaven and kevim basconi i read it in Jesse's story as well. What a mighty God we serve unknowingly.
Dr. Duplantis’s vocal testimony of these events, which I believe he has shared publicly only two or three times, is phenomenal. I grew up having watched the DVD with the most incredible stirring in my spirit and heart, like the purest joy, the purest hope, and this book was the same in written form. This really is one of those things you have to examine with your spirit. I feel a lot of people can try to sell the spectacular. But watch or read or listen to Dr. Duplantis for some time, and you’ll sense he’s the real deal, and the messages he shares live out the calling he talks about in this book. I would never force someone to read this book, but I’d ask someone to examine it like they would examine the heart of God- seek, and you’re going to find more than you ever hoped for.
A great read for anyone who is or wants to be encouraged by Heavenly experiences! This book impressed some thoughtful things to me, despite being familiar with some of these experiences already. I especially appreciate some of the conversations that Jesse had with people during his time in Heaven. I had never before thought about Jesus not having already experienced the worst day of his life. Maybe I am the rare Christian in that regard...but I truthfully had not thought that anything could be worse than the separation from His Father that he endured. If that makes you wonder, then I recommend reading this book...it can be a quick one day read even...I devoured it. :) Jesus is coming!
I gave 5 stars because of the account of his encounter fits into the Word of God. Its true that there are some incredible description that was not explicit in the bible. But hey, if God wants someone to record every single details of heaven along, the bible will take forever to finish reading. See the last chapter of gospel of John (21:25) it was written if he would to record ALL Jesus did on earth, it will not be able to contain all the books in the world. The book encourages me to press on and im looking forward to meet my Creator and love ones that is dear to me.
Okay well first off I should state, I am not someone who has read the Bible or goes to church. I believe in God, although maybe (not sure) my view of him is different than most evangelists. That being said I was lent this book to read and wanted to due to losing so many people recently. I will say a good deal of things makes this guy seem wacked in the head. Although other things seem real, and he seems to truly believe so what do I know? Not saying things are lies or facts. I wouldn’t know. But some things seem far fetched. All in all it was comforting to read.
This is not a book of someone who is at peace. He is being tossed and turned, even in his imaginary heaven. I am afraid that his religion did a terrible job on him. it is sad to watch. I still like "I never learned to doubt" , with of course some exceptions of his religious beliefs, God made us free. He does not have to answer to any religion that includes Jesse'. I my opinion the story in this book is a disgrace to God and Jesus. but knowing how harsh was Jesse's upbringing, ,one must forgive the man and keep his eyes on God ,not Jesse. Jessie needs help.
This book was my grandmother's so I picked it up to read while wailing in grief on a sleepless night after her burial. It does bring comfort for someone experiencing a loss and the thoughts of Heaven were dear to my grandmother. The idea of a preacher traveling to heaven and meeting the who's who of Bible literature instead of any personal relatives seems like it could be fabricated and his account of heaven is not objectively verifiable. Hearing tales of God's power is inspiring but can also leave the reader feeling empty for not having witnessed such miraculous encounters.
This book changed my life and changed the way I view God & Heaven.
This eye-opening testimony by our very own Louisiana Pastor Jesse Duplantis has the potential to not only change but SAVE lives everywhere through the Holy Spirit, because I was definitely impacted and with the presence of the Lord whenever I picked up this book.
I always say the test of a truly well done Christian book is if it leads you closer to God and into the Word, and this book did both!
I was not only receiving revelation from the book itself, but when I would open the Word right after, I would receive even deeper revelation from God there!
We praise Jesus for Jesse and this book, and I pray everyone who gets their hands on this book is also changed for the better.
I 100% recommend to absolutely anyone and everyone, young or old, male or female.
This is one of only two books by this evangelist in our library here in Colorado Springs. It's a story of his encounter with heaven and his spiritual experiences as a believer. He is one of my favorite ministers to listen to. He is uplifting, hopeful, and quite hilarious, I never leave his meetings without a huge smile on my face. I really enjoy him, and this book was great peace for me,,since losing my twin sister two years ago.
This was a huge blessing to my faith. If you’re a Christian and you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it. It answered many questions I’d had about Heaven and also opened my eyes to many of the truths I hadn’t realized yet. I have heard his testimony before and I can honestly say the book is just as anointed. This will change your life.
This book has definitely increased my faith in God! I just couldn't stop reading the story!!!! It's amazing to know that Abraham is waiting to guide us from heaven's gate! We serve an awesome God! I was surprised to hear that there's rock music 🎶 in heaven! Wow! I can't wait to read Jessee Duplantis other books!
This is the account of Jesse Duplantis’ visit to heaven. This book had a very substantial impact on my Christian walk. I needed this. It is a very Scriptural account of his visit. It lines up very accurately to the Bible.
Brother Jesse Duplantis gives us a vivid imagery of his encounter in Heaven that leaves us longing for our eternal home with Jesus even more than I had anticipated.
