I met Andrea Hurtt at a Fan Expo in San Francisco and she is a very sweet person. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to her and learning about her work. Masquerade is the first book in the Razor’s Edge series and I thought it was a great read. I gave this book four stars for a couple reasons… I felt like there were some plot points that could have been expanded on, like I don’t think we ever find out what’s so secret about Blaze’s past even though it’s mentioned in a few spots…. Charles is a psychopath…. And there were some editing issues that were very noticeable… I will be continuing the series!
I think the story was good. The character development was not great and I didn’t really care one way or the other for the FMC or MMC. The editing was horrible and at times very distracting.
This story has a lot of potential, however, it felt rushed. There isn’t much character development and it is definitely lacking some much needed details
