Once again, an excellent textbook that's packed with information. There were a few typos, just like the last textbook, so I demoted a star for that. Additionally, the only other issue I had was that it could have incorporated the previously taught Kanji better into the lessons.
I recommend moving slow with this textbook, and using the YouTube video series as a review after reading each lesson. Also, I used Kanji From Zero! 1: Proven Techniques to Master Kanji Used by Students All Over the World. alongside the textbook, and I feel like it really helped me with memorizing the Kanji. It generally has the same information, but to have an additional textbook to work on really improved my retention.
So far I have no issues with George Trombley's work. I look forward to diving in the next textbook after I finish reviewing.
I chose this rating because during the time i first got this book, I started to use an app which I made me able to talk to native japanese people, and after each chapter of the book I learnt a new concepts which made me sound more fluent and more able to under stand people when they speak in japanese. This book has made a big impact on my learning of japanese and made me able to communicate in japanese very easily. I definitely recommend getting this book if you want to learn japanese.
This is mostly pretty good, the only thing I don't like is that new words with kanji in them don't have the furigana so you have to look them up to get the readings. Also my japanese teacher looked over some of the vocab and pointed out words that she would never say! So just bear in mind and be careful to check what you're learning as there are some mistakes. He also got the word for bicycle wrong.
Once I finish part 1 & 2, I will move on to this book. Again, building on what I've learned from the others and from class. However, these are the best books to teach yourself Japanese. I will most likely get volume 4 & 5 in a year or two when I'm ready.
