Doctor Aubrey Anderson is tired of men who play the game. After a string of disastrous dating app encounters she gives up on love to focus on her career. Her scroogey boss is the only thing standing in her way. He's the last man she'd ever want to trim her tree... or is it her ego that won't let her admit the truth? This Christmas, she's fallen for McScrooge!
Dr. McHottie wants nothing to do with his vanilla resident doctor. He hates everything Christmas, wants comittment as much as the flu, and finds himself completely gobsmocked when the smell of a certain doctor's sugar cookie scented lotion has his phermones going out of whack. Suddenly he's dreamning of her sugar plum fairy and wanting to go all ho-ho-ho...
Will New York's Grinchy Bachleor find his perfect kiss? Can she melt the lump of coal in his heart in time? Or will a blind date on New Year's end in fireworks for them both?
Rom-Com Love it! Love the medical aspect with one heart surgeon training underneath another prestige and famous heart surgeon. Dr Aubrey Anderson has one year to finish her specialty in heart surgery with the esteemed Dr Griffin “Griff” McKenzie. However to say Dr McKenzie is a jerk and a Grinch is an understatement. Reading these two and swooning nurses provides comedy entertainment. I did enjoy the romance aspect that came later. It made the matchmaking process more entertaining when little sister got involved. Humor and feel good feelings.

I love it when Jax Hart writes a RomCom like BLIND DATE: AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS HOLIDAY ROMANTIC COMEDY. This wonderful holiday story that follows doctors Aubrey Anderson (Resident Intern) and Griffin McKenzie (Cardiac Surgeon), as they work together during the holiday season. Between matchmaking sisters, grand baby seeking grandmother, and a dog named Bentley, the fireworks are sure to fly.
A fun, quick Christmas story with HEA, which made me smile a lot, because we all had that grump we've had to work with and put a smile on our face while doing so.
We have the brilliant cardiac surgeon and resident grump, especially over the Christmas period, Dr. Griff McKenzie, who Dr. Aubrey Anderson is lucky enough to be his resident intern. She has to keep telling herself that to deal with his attitude! But things come to a head around the Christmas period. Dr McKenzie's grumpiness, which is affecting the staff, is told by HR to suck it up and be less grinchy. At the same time, Griff and Aubrey's relationship starts becoming weird after he asks her to complete a task for him. Suddenly, both are skating on thin ice around each other, having feelings they shouldn't have with working together, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
But should Avery, Aubrey's sister, tell her what she has done?

Aubrey starts an internship to a respected and successful, as well as grumpy, Surgeon at one of New York’s top hospitals.
Griff has issues stemming back to his childhood, which he has never been unable to overcome, despite being very rich and good looking, and able to date anyone he pleases.
Aubrey wants to learn his craft, but is not treated well by Griff at all, who passes on all his case files for her to transcribe, and is always expecting her to be at his beck and call.
Avery, younger sister of Aubrey, is working as a waitress, and sharing an apartment with Aubrey. She tries to shake things up a lot, but Aubrey’s work ethic doesn’t allow her to relax,
Factor in both of their interfering families, and watch the sparks fly!!
This story was warm, and fun to read. The characters were believable and likeable, and I enjoyed every minute of reading it.

Griff and Aubrey give a Christmas story with a twist. Working as his resident she starts to have feelings for him. Griff does not like anything Christmas, even tho he was born on Christmas eve but was given up not long after. After he gets told to be nice he starts to see Aubrey for who she is. As the flirting from him continues he gets told that it is against hospital policy. After all this Aubrey has so many feelings she don't know what to do or think. With two sisters and a matching company will they find what they are looking for? Will he let go of the past and see what is right in front him? Will Aubrey be able to forgive for how he has acted? This book has a little of everything you could want in book. It is emotional, sweet, slow burn, funny, and all about Christmas. I was pulled right and wanted so much more, but with and ending that will wanting more. I so can't wait to read what he has next.
Enjoyable seasonal medical rom-com. I loved the sparks these two hit off each other from the start of the story. Griff is a total Grinch - grumpy and closed-off with everybody, whilst Aubrey is caring and eminently likeable; however, she is a driven workaholic with no time for dating etc. I laughed at the snark between these two throughout the story and eve chortled out loud at Aubrey’s observation: ‘His moods are like opening a bag of Skittles, wondering which one you’ll get’! The only hesitation in giving 5* was that, these two have worked together for nearly a year before ‘suddenly’ catching feelings (each unbeknownst to the other). I really liked the way both their sisters engineer their getting together via an exclusive matchmaking service. Enjoyable romantic read, if somewhat lacking in the ‘steamy’ aspect.
This is the first book i have read by Jax and loved it.It is a feel good christmas romance and was very heartwarming.
The characters were very well written, both the leads and supporting characters.
Griff is the best heart surgeon in New York and hates christmas and commitment. Aubrey is his intern who wants to learn from the best and is putting her career first after her dating disasters.
They both eventually realise their feelings for each other, but is it too late or will the magic of christmas bring them together.
A heartwarming festive romance with a well deserved happily ever after for Griff and Aubrey.
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Audrey is a cardiology resident who works with one of the best surgeons Griffin. Griffin is a certified Grinch.
😊What i liked -
✔ Christmas Romance/Enemies to Lovers/Workplace Romance. ✔ Okay before I start with the MC's, I must say that the sister's and granny stole the show. Especially Audrey's sister. ✔ I loved Griffin as a Grinch and i loved when he makes an effort with the dress ups. ✔ I totally got the whole McHottie vibes of grey's anatomy in this. ✔ I loved everything about this book. The characters to the dialogues to the banter to the swoony chemistry.
🤔What could have been better -
✔ I felt the story rushed a bit in the end.
📚Who Should read :
👶Beginners 💝Romance Lovers 🎄 Christmas Romance 💞Enemies to Lovers Romance
I haven't laughed so much in a long time and this story is hilarious and a great holiday story! Aubrey is a cardiac intern under the tutelage of Dr Griff McKenzie. He is reputed arrogant, domineering and hates Christmas and has no patience for nonsense...until Aubrey. she gets under his skin and he doesn't understand why. When he loses his cool with the nurses, he is called to the director's office and told to be nice. This is when everything changes between him and Aubrey as well as the staff. But when your sister owns a matchmaking company and she has a sister and grandmother looking to find her a match, can this be a match made in heaven....??? You have to read it to find out! Funny, sexy, sweet story that leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling.
Enemies to Lovers? In Blind Date, we meet Aubrey and Griffin. Aubrey is a new resident, while Griff is a mix between the Grinch and Scrooge, hating everything Christmas, and, it almost seems, everything else. However, as we work our way through the book, she starts to wear down his defenses, and you can’t help but wonder what might happen.
Add in a couple of meddling sisters and a matchmaking company, and you start to hope that everything will get wrapped in a happy little Christmas package. But, will they get their happy ever after? This was an enjoyable book. I loved (and sometimes hated) the characters (Griff, I’m looking at you). It made me laugh, and gasp, almost wanting to toss my Kindle at one point. I received an arc copy of this book, but all opinions are my own.
Aubrey, top of her class at NYU specializing in cardiac surgery, begins her residency under the tutelage of Dr. Griff McKenzie, the handsome, arrogant grump who just so happens to be the top cardiac surgeon in all of New York. Griff knows he has a reputation as a hard@**, but he's worked hard for that rep and for his esteemed position. He's strictly by the book and keeps his business and personal life separate. That is until Aubrey.
Everything you want in a quick read! Wonderful main characters as well as secondary characters, I can't wait for Avery's story!! The chemistry sizzled as well as the flirty banter! I loved everything about this book! A definite must read!!!
Dr. Aubrey Anderson was excited about her residency with the best cardiac surgeon in New York City. She could put up with his grumpy disposition. The longer they work together Dr. Griff Mackenzie realizes he is attracted to her and fights all those feelings. Aubrey tries to ignore her feelings for him since he is out of her league. Griff’s mom and sister want him married and go to all lengths to fix him up. His encounters with women he felt nothing for are fun. Aubrey’s sister is bound and determined to put the two of them together. This book is a lot of fun, great characters. Love the nursing staff.
I´ve added this author to my favourites list. I had such a blast reading about Griff a year round grump heightening his antisocial skills to become a horrendous Grinch around Christmastime, but when you hear about his history, you want him to find closure and pure happiness. When he meets Aubrey he can´t deny the heart longing for love inside him any more and the Grinch starts making a fool of himself for love around Christmastime while desperately fighting his feelings. But he has no chance against interfering sisters and other relatives that add tremendously to the fun in this book. Our hero is quite the grouch and our heroine is not interested. Or so they both think, but the holiday spirits have other plans for these two.
This is a romance story of touch of holiday magic (but not the paranormal kind). The story is very well written with two delightful characters that don't quite know what is happening, so it is a lot of fun to watch. I found it to be rather addictive and hard to put down. There is a nice blend of humor and romance which makes for a very relaxing read. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes.
I absolutely loved this story!! Griff won over my heart and is the best Grinch. Aubrey is such an awesome character as well. They truly are the perfect match.
I love how the story developed, it was fun and filled with a lot of love. Avery, Aubrey’s sister was hilarious in her scheming. Even Hallie, Griff’s sister the matchmaker was amazing and the way they stepped it up in the end to get these to together was awesome.
I absolutely recommend this book and I can’t wait for Avery’s story
I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters. The main characters were Doctor Aubrey Anderson and Doctor Griffin McKenzie.
Doctor Aubrey Anderson is a Resident Intern. She works with Doctor Griffin McKenzie that is a told McScrooge to everyone on the floor. He hate Christmas. Her she decides to play matchmaking with her.
This was a fun short story to read. It had action and drama throughout. It had a few giggles throughout.
I received a complimentary copy via BookSiren. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
When I got this book, my First thought was, Oh what a grinch. This man is awful. So full of himself, he needs a separate space for his head. But what do I know.? Bloody hell. Blowing hot and then cold. A prank gone wrong or something. Playing games with each other. I'm giggling all the time now. Christmas stories are so great. I'm totally in McScrewed's corner. So so good. Full of laughter and fun. And so much love. Just what we all need. You did good mister Hart
Blind Date was a fun romantic comedy! Cardiac surgeon, Griffin McKenzie is top in his field but an absolute grinch outside the operating room. His resident, Aubrey is equally bright but so much more likable. Their personalities clash but each are hiding their true feelings from each other! This was a quick fun read filled with meddling sisters, and an interesting array of characters. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
This romcom novella was so fun and cute. Audrey is a cardiology resident who works with Griffin, one of the best surgeons around. Griffin is a scrooge. Look up the definition in the dictionary and you will find his picture. Overall, this was a great story. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it seemed a bit rushed in the end. Oh, and Granny and the sisters were the best. They were honestly my favorite characters.
With a story that easily has you laughing and swooning, I thought this book was a delightful treat. Aubrey and Griff definitely charmed me, and I loved their chemistry and sparks. The story is fun and has a huge heart. The humor is sharp and the barbs cutting, and these two clash together. I am independently posting an impartial review.
Thank you Jax Hart for Aubrey and Griff’s story. What a fun Christmas present. I enjoyed this quick holiday read of the grumpy doctor and determined resident. The supporting staff and family members were entertaining as well. It brings the perfect amount of angst and feel good emotion during this holiday season.
I enjoyed Griff & Aubrey’s book. Doctor Aubrey Anderson is tired of men who play the game. After a string of disastrous dating app encounters she gives up on love to focus on her career. Her scroogey boss is the only thing standing in her way. It was an entertaining, fun read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Dr. Aubrey meets Dr. Grinch. If she can hold on a year as his assistant she can have her pick of hospitals. Neither have a social life until their sisters take matters into their own hands. This is a quick, funny and well written story. Very enjoyable. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Thanks to Book Sirens and the publisher for an advance review copy of this book.
This was an easy quick read that grabbed my attention from the first page. However, as it went on, I thought that it dragged and the emotions from both main characters felt unrealistic in the last few chapters. There were a number of typos as well, but hopefully they'll be cleaned up since I read an ARC.
A wonderful Christmas story. Aubrey and Griff are wonderful characters, Enemies is how they are until they are not. She works under this Doctor and she is a intern, I was so hooked I couldn't out it down., You have laughs, meddling family and attraction, A page turner, I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A hilarious tale of two surgeons who struggle with their love lives. Both have meddling sisters, who all in all have their best interests at heart. What will the outcome be for Griff the Grinch and Aubrey. Light hearted easy holiday read.
This was such a cute story with feel good vibes. Griff is a grumpy scrooge, but Aubrey sure helps him change his tune. With a family full of support and a crazy sister's these two didn't stand a chance. This book was just a fun and enjoyable read
If you love enemies-to-lovers, this book is for you! I couldn't help but laugh out loud at this romantic comedy, filled with holiday cheer and heat. It's one of my favorite holiday reads.
