Exile, fortune-hunter, champion. Valengetrix thunders across the lands of Auropia in the pursuit of fame and glory, seeking answers to questions most dare to imagine. With the aid of an ancestral spirit bound within an ancient blade; his story is written in the blood of his enemies and emblazoned upon the hearts of his allies.
In this serial adventure sequel to Valengetrix: Ghost of Aratania, explore the wilds of Auropia from the mountain forests of Tekkar to the uncharted depths of the Netherchasm and beyond. Dangers abound, where lost civilizations become the haunt of perilous foes, guarding untold riches. Bloodied sword meets diabolical sorcery, and the shining kingdoms of Auropia are caught in its wake.
To survive, one must become more than just a man, but a lion amongst men.
Once again we have the pleasure of Valengetrix combing the landscape of Auropia in a series of excellent sword and sorcery adventures. We lean even more history of Auropia as Val makes his way among the lands ever searching for lost technological/magical artifacts of the once great empire of which he is an exile. 5 really good stories will leave you highly entertained. I really love the variety and scope. A map is included in this volume (I used it to look back on some of the stories from the first book). This is definitely some of the best sword and sorcery currently being written.
This new book contains several sword and sorcery stories featuring Valengetrix an exiled warrior. The tales are very well written with strong characters and an action line that never lets you down. Val travels the world looking for treasures and artifacts to return to his people. He encounters insane royalty, dark sorcery, science from outer space, and wonderfully gruesome monsters. This and the first book would be a great fit for fans of Conan, Thongor, Elric, and many other heroes of past and present.
