Kinda diaappointing
The story had so much potential, but the writing was rudimentary. The FMC kept repeating herself as if she forgot what she said 2 pages ago. The MMC was sweet but contradictory. It was just weird to be honest. She spoke like she was a 12 yr old instead of almost 18. I just got annoyed with her by the end of the book. Also...how the heck did no one come to the conclusion that she's a Phoenix. Nobody. Really? Are they supposed to be extinct? Are they crazy rare? Like how was that not even an option, but they knew about dragons. 😒 It was just an odd way to go with it I guess. It was close to being a DNF.

Loved it!!
I love reading Scarlett Haven's paranormal books! I wish the books about the panther and the academy books were still available.
I think I know what Henley is, but her black wings are throwing me off. I love Parker and his friends!! I can't wait for the next book! 😍

Why oh why
Its obvious she's a Phoenix. Why don't anyone know? Are Phoenix's rare? Good story looking forward to book two. Her dad is kind of wishy washy, he says he lives her but leaves her alone even knowing everything she's told him.

love this book!!!
The characters jump off the page and are brought to life. Once you start reading, you can’t put the book down. The characters have depth and this story is well written.

Cute intriguing story
This is a cute intriguing story. I enjoyed the characters and side characters. I cannot wait to see what the next book reveals. What is she? How do they figure it out? This is a well written clean read.
