Although Jill Vegas (what a name, do you think it's real?) does tell you how long she thinks it will take to accomplish a job and whether you can do it yourself or need a professional craftsperson, her examples are so uninviting I doubt I would ever really trust her advice.

Perfect redecorating book for COVID times! I can’ t shop nor call someone in to redo my kitchen. l’ ve moved paintings from room to room to room, changed candles out..but I needed inspiration. Although published in 2009, this book,her writings were right for helping me take perspective to live and thrive through another winter...and our necessary isolation.

A very practical, satisfying approach to organizing/decorating your home quickly. And though Vegas does not mention feng shui, many of her suggestions are in harmony with its principles. This book is easy-to-read, simple to follow, and short enough to stay with it.

Too much "buy stuff" and "hire somebody." Hire somebody to install a FAUCET?
Not enough inspiration to balance out the lack of substantial how-tos. Buy throw pillows and paint the back of a bookshelf is not very substantial.
