TN Jones is a Southern storyteller at heart, born and raised in Alabama where she still resides with her daughter. Her love affair with words began early, scribbling short stories as a teen and immersing herself in the emotional grit of urban fiction.
Blending genres with fearless flair, TN Jones delivers stories that are adventurous, mysterious, and unapologetically spicy. Her work pulses with betrayal, desire, and the kind of tension that keeps readers up all night.
This was my first read by this author and it was ok. The storyline was interesting but the characters weren't developed enough and it seemed like they had too much going on. The author's storytelling was decent but I couldn't dig how it was delivered. She unleashed a few secrets with cliffhangers for the next book
Wow . This story is amazing it has mystery written all through here. I was hooked from the first page . I can't wait to see what happens next . I never would have figured out who was calling the shots. It leaves you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end .
Disloyal by TN Jones was my first read by this author. Her use of the six degrees of separation was excellent! There was drama, drama and drama on top of drama. All of the characters had some type of tie to one another and when all the pieces started to fall into place it left you with your mouth wide open. This book also shows how you never truly know a person even when you think you do. Each character was well developed and fit like pieces to a complex jigsaw puzzle. The ending….what a cliffhanger! Who could have imagined that happening!
Domic, Janice, Nicolette, Joshua, Latrice, Jalice and John all play a major part in this story. They all have secrets that they would love to keep hidden but someone is desperate to let them out. You have Janice, Nicolette, Joshua & Jalice who were friends growing up and parted ways after high school to some degree.
Domic was an only child and didn’t know who his father was until his mom was on her deathbed and told him how to get in contact with him. Of course, drama ensues because he’s married with a family. None of his siblings want anything to do with him except one of the brothers because he realizes that it’s not his fault that their dad step out and had another child. He is a DEA agent along with his girlfriend Janice. One of his biggest secrets is that he has a child with their boss and no one is the wiser. They are both working on high profile drug cartel cases that have more in common than they realize.
Janice was also an only child and her mother was killed. She has had her share of issues in her lifetime but the one person she will never forget is her high school boyfriend Joshua.
Nicolette is Janice’s best friend who has a stalker ex that she can’t get rid of. She’s finally found Dennis whom she thinks may actually be the one for her but they live in different states. She has family issues that she doesn’t like to deal with especially when it comes to her sister Trika.
Joshua and Latrice have an on again off again type of relationship. Mostly because Joshua can’t be trusted. Joshua has been sleeping with Jalice for some time but doesn’t want to let Latrice go. Latrice doesn’t know about Jalice but she does know about someone named Janice because Joshua has been calling her by that name. When questioned he explained that she was an ex that for some reason he’s been thinking about and hopes that she is ok.
Is it possible that Joshua and Domic’s Janice are one in the same?
There were a few editing issues but not enough to where it took away from the story. I still have a couple of questions that I’m hoping will be answered in book 2 like what was the reason for the death of Latrice’s family, who is the “eye” and what does John have to do with all of this and who in the hell is Joe! #VLSBOOKREVIEWS
All this drama I'm totally confused. Domic was just doing entirely too much. I'm trying to understand who he wasn't cheating with. He had male and female side pieces. All these characters have a lot of skeletons in their closets. I'm wondering who is seeking revenge on whom. I want answers. I'm ready for part 2 now. This was a lot a characters to remember. Wow! Great writing.
