Belle Baker’s new job as lone nurse in the quaint lakeside town of Itirangi seems like a dream come true. Except for one thing. Her boss, the ridiculously handsome Dr. Ramsay Harding, takes aloof and demanding to a new level.
Ramsay Harding has never struggled to keep his distance from an employee, but Belle makes him want to break all of the rules. She’s his complete opposite, and he can’t help wondering whether she could ever see him as more than a colleague.
With her job on the line, and his family interfering, is a relationship between them doomed before it can even start?
Alexa Rivers writes about genuine characters living messy, imperfect lives and earning hard-won happily ever afters. Most of her books are set in small towns, and she lives in one of these herself. She shares a house with a neurotic dog and a husband who thinks he’s hilarious.
When she’s not writing, she enjoys traveling, baking, eating too much chocolate, cuddling fluffy animals, drinking excessive amounts of tea, and absorbing herself in fictional worlds.
Super sweet novella!! Ramsay and Belle are so cute! They deserved a full length novel instead of this super short book! I have nothing negative to say, except FY William! 4⭐️
This was a sweet short story about a young girl who was a nurse and worked for a young doctor in his medical clinic. She falls in love with him but struggles with acceptance from his family. It was a quick read but one that I enjoyed and would recommend.
