Pretty standard fare. Government auditor discovers irregularities and corruption. Way too many "skip over" pages. From the first couple of chapters it becomes pretty predictable.

Debated with myself, two stars or three. Always round up.

This book has been published in 1999, nevertheless it fits almost perfectly in 2017. It is a great political-spy thriller. It has politic, crime espionage, and romance. All the right ingredient for a fast reading. The only problem was with the last 10% of it that was superfluous. We certainly could do without it. Needlessly to say it prolonged the story with extra unneeded pages. I found myself flipping through the pages of the last chapter without losing anything. Since more than 90% of the book was great I still rated it with 5 stars.

Loved it.

Surprises beginning to end. And potentially so realistic. A quick and captivating story. Good characters well developed and a complicated story the author made easy to follow. I hope our country has developed a computer virus such as described in this book. Jhls

Good story, fast paced

Interesting story about corruption at the highest levels. Who knew the GAO could be exciting? Good characters, tho the plot became thin toward the end.

horrible language

I quit on page 34 , the “f” word and the G-d word aren’t needed to tell a good story. This author is off my list.

Excellent story.

Bloodless wars? But many innocent people trying to do their jobs gets injured and dyed, all the secret things being done in the senators offices we elect. Also American citizens hunger to buy and buy cheapest stuff, without asking themselves "do I need this or just want it?"

Excellent read

Very interesting complex story with suspense, murder, betrayals, treason, and defining what is really right or wrong, black or white. Interesting characters. Well written. Worth reading.
