Amitabh Singh is an international speaker and author who travels on behalf of impoverished children, raising awareness and support for their education and care. He is driven by his passion to see disadvantaged children given the opportunity to rise above their circumstances and pursue their dreams.

Amitabh grew up in Calcutta, India. During his childhood years, he observed the missionary legends Dr. Mark & Huldah Buntain and Mother Teresa’s compassionate work for the sick and the poor, and was inspired by their example.

As a young man, he pursued his passion for both business and his Christian faith, earning a Bachelors of Commerce degree at Calcutta’s St. Xavier’s College, and a Masters of Divinity in Bangalore, India. For the next several years, he initiated and worked at the grass roots level in diverse empowerment programs for the poor, serving as Assistant Pastor to Dr. Buntain in Calcutta.

Observing the need for qualified administrators, Amitabh returned to college in 1997. He successfully completed his MBA in Human Resource Management; Masters in Hospital Administration; Business Finance from Cambridge University and Strategic Management from XLRI Business School in Jamshedpur, India. His professional credentials include CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and Psychometrics Administrator for MBTI (Myers and Briggs Type Indicator).

During the 1990s, Amitabh served as consultant to various companies including United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), hosted over 300 television programs for Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), and taught at St. Xaviers College (Calcutta) and various other Colleges/Universities. He also wrote nine educational textbooks before serving as CEO of a 173-bed general hospital in Calcutta from 2002. He moved to the USA in 2004 to serve as Director of Financial Services for Mission of Mercy, an organization funding 250 projects in 19 of the poorest countries.

Amitabh has authored the books “Don’t Let College Hamper Your Education,” “What Employer’s Want But Business Schools Don’t Teach,” (Jaico Publishers, India) and his latest, “Round Pizza In A Square Box” (WestBow Press – Thomas Nelson Publication, USA).

Amitabh, today, provides leadership as Executive Director of a Canadian not-for-profit. Additionally, he serves as Senior Advisor to the volunteer-driven not-for-profit Mukti Village and leads the MBTI workshop for Mukti High School Volunteers. He lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife and two daughters.
