This is hands down one of the best books I have ever read.
Through his incredible insights into the mind of Plato, Jaspers has opened up worlds of philosophy for me. I highly recommend it for anyone who has tried to go straight to Plato's writings and had trouble connecting with him. Jaspers has a way of examining the soul of this great man in a way that is so universal and palatable that when I closed this book, it was like telling a dear friend goodbye.
Of course I opened it back up and read it again and again, turning down corners of pages and adding highlights throughout. Such a good book. Such an incredible existential perspective. Do yourself a favor and get your hands on this book.
