Autumn Genesis is one of the baddest chocolate BBW’s in Savannah. After getting off drugs, she decided to stop stripping. And she can finally see her life going in the right direction. She has just enrolled in school to become a Nurse Practitioner.
While hanging out with her girlfriends she stumbles into Gotti Campbell, a local retired gangster who is rich from his hugely popular restaurant and one of the biggest urban lounges in Savannah Georgia. Trying to build a life together the two decide to seal the deal in Puerto Rico. Little did they know what tragedy awaited them on the beautiful island. Life takes an ugly turn for Autumn and her world is completely turned upside down.
So many choices for Autumn to make. Drugs and stripping? Or sobriety and education? After seeing her in turmoil, her best friend Dolly convinces her to go to counseling.
Months after love leaves her empty, Autumn feels like the unluckiest person in the world. That's until the door to happiness blasts back open. quick read
I enjoyed the story. Autumn had to deal with a lot growing up which shaped her life in her teenage years. She met Gotti and fell for him quick. Tragedy struck a again leaving Autumn to try to pick up the pieces of her life. She also had revenge on her mind. Dolly was a true friend and was also dealing with a lot of hurt. Dakota turned out to be the perfect one for her. I do feel the story was a little rushed and faster pace than I’m used to reading but overall the story was good.

The storyline was just okay for me. I did like the main characters. However, the editing was horrible the were way too many grammar errors and typos.

Emotionally gripping page tuner
The story starts off sad, then things begin to look up for autumn. It was a roller coaster ride of ups and downs, action-packed, and thought provoking. The beginning was a little slow, and I didn’t really get into it until about 30% in. But the plot moves much faster and. the surprise twists I wasn’t ready for made my heart pound. Outstanding job on the storytelling. Dakota and Dolly were vaguely described. But, the dialogue was written skillfully enough for me to still experience 3D characters. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Things have truly gotten interesting
Ok my girl Autumn went into beast mode in that cliffhanger. I truly hate that she lost the love of her life all because of an obsession then to meet Kyi’s weak a$& and he turned out to be a straight Fck boy was the icing on the cake. Uniquely Lashay I am going to need Autumn to find another good man or you can bring Gotti back from the dead or something in part 2?because she deserves happiness after all she has been through and overcame in her life.

A fee minor spelling but nothing took away from this storyline..Gotti & Dakota was the been you would want to have in your corner. The wedding was beautiful but I didn't expect Gotti to go on his wedding night.. then you brought in KEI who was a true f#$k boy... to use my weight against me after you had so much in me and had me living on Cloud9....Autumn definitely is learning not to be a pushover! With Dolly as her partner in crime I can't t wait to see what happens now that Jackboy is out of the picture ...

The protagonist was dealt a rough hand and had no one to turn to initially. She found love and lost it almost immediately. The story dealt with some heavy themes, but they were handled well. I think the story moved well. The character situations were dramatic and emotional. One can hope that in the sequel that the dad is finally clued in on what was going on in his home. I will say Kyi fit the title of this book. How will the act of revenge play out in book two is also a point of interest.3.5

One f#ck boy down!! One to go!! Autumn she up and down. Her feelings play a big part. She should really stick to her first mind. Kyi was prime suspect of f#ck boy tendencies when he asked her for that money. She should have never told dude what she was working wit. But its life lets see how it play out.

I liked the way these two friends came together and changed their lives for the better with the help of the love of their lives. Happy when Autumn step mother passed away she was a horrible woman, now she and her farther could work on their relationship. Can't wait to see how she gets her revenge on Cree no good ass.

Poor Autumn
You never know what a person is going through. This story will have you mad and laughing in one breath because of these two queens. Their friendship is what keeps them going. Autumn has been through so much in her short life. I hope she finds her happiness again in book two now that she got her payback.
