An ancient suit of armor has disappeared from an old, abandoned church. Elijah and his friends are on a quest to recover all six pieces--and to learn the armor's story. They have more questions than answers--and there's someone following them who will do almost anything to keep them from discovering the truth about the ancient armor.
Elijah, Robbie, Reece, Mei, and Skid--their search for another piece of armor draws them back into the forbidden haunts of Telanoo and into the center of a scandal bigger than anyone in Magdeline can remember.
But secrets and lies can't cover up the truth forever. Though it is painful, Elijah learns to recognize the value of truth in his own life and comes closer to understanding God's truth--including a purpose even for Elijah.
This is the 2nd book in the Elijah Creek & The Armor of God series.
I enjoyed every bit of it! I was able to fit in to each different character and follow the story well. By the end of each book so far, the story keeps you hanging on and waiting when, when, when!? So I decided to order the next book online through Amazon.
My dad read this series first and loved it (he is almost 50). I really loved this series. I would read a chapter or two to my sisters before bed (4 girls, ages 5-12) and they loved the series so much that they want me to read it to them again. It is griping, with a strong Christian foundation. We met the author at the International Conference on Missions (ICOM) last year, she was very nice.
A continued series read aloud with my grade 7/8s. Quite a bit of laughter as this one was read and many asking for just another chapter once our time limit had already passed. I really like the practical lessons that can be taught about truth in this book, especially for their age group and learning through stories.
This is the second book int her series. Elijah must tell his parents and the police the truth about what he's been doing after he discovers two bodies in a well. Then another death falls into the mix. Was this a suicide?
