Stuart Minor was born and raised in the rural county of Shropshire. Before becoming a professional writer he worked in a number of different trades and countries, seeing the world and doing everything from labouring to management. He has a degree in history and has been writing full-time since 2014 when he published his first novel: The Call of War. Since then he has seen considerable success, his series of sixteen books set in the First World War receiving high acclaim.
Another story of courage and determination by Jack and his fellow soldiers , this novel in the series with a twist that was not expected ! Again Mr Minor surpasses himself with another gripping story from start to finish , with all the humour , horror etc of an awful conflict which is advancing to an Allied victory in the coming months and year . Can't wait for the next episode in the series .
The word pictures generated made you feel as if you were there, a horrible sensation, from the safety of time and distance, respect for men who had to do this in reality!
Another great read, from the master of the fighting man's war. No glory just blood sweat and death as the Allies slowly grind their way through Normandy and beyond.
Another ripping yarn, my major complaint is the repeated misuse of the apostrophe! i.e. german's when it should just be germans plural....and he keeps doing it!
