Theron Bowman is in the throes of a mid-life crisis. At forty, he needs to make some serious decisions about his future. He splurges on a two-week vacation in the Caribbean, and like everything else in his life, things go horribly awry and he ends up working to pay for his room.
Forced by his father to break ties with his family, Colby Denton came to rest on St. Lucia and opened an exclusive resort called The Southern Cross. To celebrate his tenth year on the island, and his birthday, Colby arranges for a series of festive beachside parties. When a sexy sea god swims out of the ocean in front of him, Colby has a brand new plan—netting Neptune.
NOTE: Don't miss Taming Triton, the next story about The Southern Cross resort, available October 2009!
A sweet, simple, no angst, no frills romance between a small resort-owner and a a guy who's stranded on the tropical island of St Lucia after the airline. For a short story, it was okay in that it all wrapped up nicely like a cute, saccharine fairytale I'd tell my kid at bedtime. Or not.
This was a fun, lightweight beach read. Colby Denton owns a small resort on the beach on St. Lucia. He's throwing himself his 39th birthday party. He's had a lot of vacation flings but never anything serious. Theron Bowman is trying to put his life in order and goes to St. Lucia to think. Colby and Theron meet on the beach and have some great casual sex but can life alone in paradise be enough for Colby anymore? I enjoyed the whole Southern Cross Resort and the interaction between the two men. Ms Kendricks has put together a good story to escape with on a hot summer day. I look forward to the next Southern Cross Resort book.
