"WHEN YOU ARE ...
Angry Depressed Anxious Tired Resentful Upset
Nervous Unhappy Confused Frightened
or in any way not healthy, wealthy and happy,
then
SCHOOL IS IN SESSION!

"But it's not 'school' as you remember it. This is a book about learning, doing and enjoying that's actually fun: Really.

"By the time we graduate from high school, most of us have spent more than 14,500 hours in the classroom. Along the way, we learned (and promptly forgot) several million facts.

"But in all that time, did we learn -- or even explore -- the meaning of life? Did we learn how to love ourselves? Did we learn the importance of forgiving ourself and others?

"Did we learn about worthiness (and how to get it), the power of thoughts (and how to use them), or the value of mistakes?

"Did anyone teach us how to use guilt, resentment, pain and fear for our learning, upliftment and growth?

"Did we learn our purpose in life?

"If not, it's not too late. You are holding the class you've been waiting for in your hands.

CLASS IS IN SESSION!

Obviously this is a complicated book, even though it's written in a breezy, easy to understand style. I'll need to read it again, slowly this time, and practicing the exercises.

It was okay but too self helpy. My main issue with books of this type is that there are a lot of self help books out there that are just full of general statements without actually teaching anything solid and concrete that you can directly apply to your life, more just inspirational quotes and stuff. Seems like just reading fluff to me but hey some people are really into those kinds of books so what do I know.

Incredibly insightful with tons of inspiring quotes and nuggets of wisdom. I read a copy borrowed from the library. I'm definitely going to purchase one to have at home for easy reference in the future.

I found this book cleaning out the basement. A book someone gave me when I graduated from high school. I should have put it straight in the trash pile - but no, I had to be curious and read it. It was, without a doubt, the worst book I've ever read. It was just God-awful.

Nice little book. I'm glad I found this one. A self help book that actually helps you instead of just something you read and it never changes your life.
I need to stop reading so many self help books and just run into life and see what happens.
But I liked this book quite a bit.

Found this book at a beach house, simple homespun ideas along with some great quotes. Again, it’s a reminder that all the self-help Wisdom has been around forever. We just keep repackaging it but again it was a fun read.

I didn't end up finishing this, but it wasn't bad. It just didn't keep my attention and I think I could find other books like this that speak to me.

Everyone who has had a little trouble coping with life should pick up one of Peter McWilliams cheerful books of help and encouragement.

BTW...the author's name is wrong here; it was written by the team of Peter McWilliams and John-Roger. And I have a hardcover copy, not the audio version, but I didn't see that on Goodreads.

I didn't set out to read the whole book. It isn't written to be read straight through, but nibbled at, like a bowl of mixed nuts on the coffee table. I left it on a shelf near the porcelain throne to snack on during maintenance procedures and before I knew it I'd polished it off.
It's a tasty and nutritious dessert but lacking in fiber and no substitute for a balanced diet.

I LOVE this book. I often go back just to read a page for inspiration. It teaches me every time in a wonderfully funny way how to live life better. I highly recommend it to anybody who needs a new perspective sometimes.

I couldn't even finish it, and thought it was incredibly boring. Will probably never pick it up again to finish.
