Baseball, America's sport. The year is 1899 in the small, but booming town of Tempe, Arizona. A bicycle dealer starts a Baseball club. A black man shows up. The controversy begins, but Byron is a fantastic player. The team needs him. The discussion continues with fewer and fewer adversaries. Byron is killed. Another player dies. A group of three powerful, but broke men conspire to use baseball as their means to money. The game is on.
