Worth the price for the pastry cream recipe alone.

I love cookbooks. I read them like novels. Even the most basic ones are full of anecdotes and other information that are useful and entertaining to foodies and home-cooks alike. As a professional chef, I also am intrigued by the authentic recipes of a far-off land such as Sicily.
