In the '80s the lines of power were clearly drawn but by the early 2000s,, they had been crossed and dismantled by greed, deceit and disloyalty. Now several years later, new blood known to the world as The Somar Kings gains enough money, power and influence to become the ONLY conglomerate running the DMV underground. Former boss Romell Ramos is released from prison and on a manhunt for the person(s) responsible for his wife's murder however his plans are brought to a halt when his now grown children have pledged allegiance and loyalty to his enemy. Power Lines is the ultimate tale of family, money, murder and respect. When the lines of loyalty are blurred, all you have left to rely on is POWER.
Romell Ramos is scheduled for release from prison and can’t wait to see his three kids again. But the crime lord is in for a surprise when he finds out Aiden, Aleina, and Armon have started their own illegal operations without his knowledge. Other troubles lurk in the background, including a beef with Russian gangsters and the mystery of who was behind the killing of Romell’s wife Jacinda. I love the author’s talent for creating wonderful characters, each with their own defined strengths and weaknesses. The children compliment each other equally, and Romell plays the role of the father who’d been away from his children for so long and must now reintegrate himself not just into society but into his own family. The supporting cast are also very dynamic with some dangerous enemies, loyal friends, and maybe some characters who blur the line between friend and foe. Superb book.
So Power Lines was different from your regular urban or suspense book. It kept me guessing! So the triples Aiden, Aleina, and Armon all had their own personality which is a good thing. Alenia was like I don't need to be babied. I'm smart and strong. If I need your help I will ask for it. Aiden seemed to be the most laid back and Armon hunty get out of his way lol. But they all were about their business and family. Now it was a lot of things and people that had me guessing who really was who. I like the suspense that the author created and that it wasn't easy to guess the answer to the number one question. I suggest if you're on the fence about this book go ahead and buy it. You won't be disappointed 😊
This book starts off with action and I instantly fell in love with the characters. From page to page… The story was told in such a thrilling and entertaining manner that you won’t put the book down until the very end. I recommend this book hands down.
It's a sad thing when you can't trust the one you love. The web's that was weaved throughout this story was so good. I was hooked from start to finish .
This was another great read from this author. The characters were well developed. Storyline was original and kept my attention. I loved the different personalities that the triplets had. I also liked the bond that they shared. If you want to read a five star crime fiction...this is the book for you.
4 stars only because I wanted more of this new couple. I'm a sucka for romancing lol nevertheless, this book was well written and a refreshing story line. Totally enjoyed it.
