One of my favourite read alone books of the 90s for children aged 5-8. I enjoyed reading this book to my girls and remember it as one of their favourites. I had to give away several hundred children's books between 2011 and 2016, but this one has stayed with me. Everyone loves a bear, although it isn't so much fun turning into one. There is an interesting Spanish teacher with an accent, which I found quite novel as my daughters were learning Spanish at the time too.

I am re-reading a few of my favourite children's books.

Ursula gets what she wishes for and it's not quite what she hoped...
Magical spells, kindly neigbours, mean old ladies, and still home in time for supper! A short and sweet story of a spell gone wrong. A little bit silly but very enjoyable!

One of the first books I have ever read. I remember it to be really entertaining and magical.
I use to read it to my little brother when he was younger and he absolutely adored it. Amazing.

I used to go through these books in a morning then go back to the library for another in the afternoon.
