It feels kind of weird rating a classic like Journey to the West, so I'll rate the version I read. The language was repetitive, which was useful for the first few chapters to catch me up, but after that it got sort of annoying. The story itself is like a repetitive epic: they meet a demon in disguise, the demon manages to steal away the master, Sun Wukong fights it and loses, Wukong brings help and wins. Which is fine, and most of the episodes were exciting. But the same language was used to describe them each time, and I wasn't a huge fan of that.
