V. St. Clair is a chemical engineer by day, writer by night, living in the Louisville, KY area. She is the author of The Chronicles of Icthema trilogy and the Age of Empires duo. Her most recently published works include the fantasy epic Wonderlust, as well as the The Broken Prism series.

Currently she is working on a new trilogy called Origins of Elaria, the first of which was released in 2017.

Meu Deus!!!
Melhor livro de fantasia que eu li na minha vida, e prequel mais bem escrito que eu já vi também! Parece que a autora tinha um mapa mental com todos os eventos do mundo que criou aberto do seu lado enquanto escrevia cada livro.
Um trabalho primoroso e que encerra com chave de ouro uma saga sensacional.
Ainda não entendi como essa saga não é famosa em todo o mundo, atribuo isso às semelhanças que a premissa e o começo do primeiro livro têm com uma outra saga de bruxos adolescentes, mas é uma pena que as pessoas não conheçam as Nine Lands como conhecem Londres e uma escola no Reino Unido.

Esse livro é incrivelmente bem escrito, um primor e também uma dor no peito. Nele temos pancada atrás de pancada e uma finalização tão bem feita, tão bem amarradinha e que termina dando vontade de começar a ler a saga toda (inclusive acho que farei isso). Recomendo a leitura dos dois prequels entre o quarto e quinto, talvez faça isso nessa releitura.
Tô sinceramente impressionada com essa autora que conseguiu encaixar tudo tão perfeitamente, com coerência e criatividade na medida certa! Com certeza é minha saga favorita agora, que o final não deixou a desejar, e fico indignada que os livros não estão no mundo todo tendo o sucesso que merecem. Eu quero andar com uma camiseta com o Bonk estampado nela, gente, por favor!
Ainda não aceitei que foi o fim, mas que fim maravilhoso!

This book is about Asher and Alaric, before the books about Hayden. While I liked the chapters about Asher very much, I doubt I will reread this book, because the chapters about Alaric are very disturbing. Worth reading once, if you love the Broken Prism series books about Hayden, to get more details of the backstory.
