Defiled

Rate this book
Disinhibited and rebellious scientist Randle Marks runs afoul of blind Lady Justice and finds that outdated laws, cutthroat lawyers, aloof judges, and a publicity-hungry prosecutor will determine his fate. He sees himself as a pawn in a game played by officers of the court who are neither obligated nor motivated, to find the truth. They just want to win the game. So, he defies the legal system to win a case that cannot be resolved in a courtroom. Outside the courtroom, Randle's adversaries--his exploitative wife, Carrie, and her capricious twin sister, Connie--plot against him. As their battle escalates, the three renegades are pursued by a dogged detective determined to arrest someone for something. But, Randle is willing to risk his freedom, and even his life, to get a fair verdict. To expose the truth, he must become the bait in an elaborate and dangerous trap.

I received this book in a giveaway and I'll be honest reading the description of the book left me wondering if this book was going to be as boring as it sounded. let me tell you I got instantly hooked I felt like I was watching a juicy soap opera that you can't stop watching! it's like watching a train wreck but you can't stop watching! this book was amazing in the details the author didn't make it overly done with boring criminal and law details! the only thing I didn't like and if you read this review Mike Nemeth I would highly suggest that you change the description of the book the synopsis Does Not!!!! by no means do you book Justice!! and I would hate for others to pass up your book because the synopsis sounds overly boring because your book is wonderful!!!

Definitely not what I expected...and that is a good thing. It's intense. Crazy. Full of twisty roller coaster turns. It's "War of the Roses" on steroids. The plot line was very well thought out. It's one of those books you will want to read in one sitting.

Great read from a new author

Interesting, fun read about an old subject with lots of new twists and turns. Mike Nemeth writes like he has been at this occupation forever. I am looking forward to his next work--hope it comes soon!
