This is the 5th book I've read written by Jen A. Durand; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This was a pull at the heart strings book, the reason for their marriage breaking up was the huge grief for their daughter, and then their son bringing them back together, I thought Ian took finding out about their son unimaginably well, but overall it was a nice story with a sort of nice ending, but it just ended too abruptly, it needed a bit more at the end which spoilt it a little.

This is a beautifully second chance romance. Ian and Taylor divorced after the death of their daughter. He contacts her years later because his mother left her something in her will. This story is so emotional, one of loss, forgiveness, and a second chance at two people who love each other being together again.

They made a mess of their marriage and now she is trying to rebuild her life. What she does not want is for her ex to come back after her. He learns about his son and now they need to be there for him. Can they work through their problems for the sake of their son? Has too much been done and said? See if they can make it better

Ian and Taylor had gotten divorced because their marriage fell apart after their premature daughter died. Now a few years later Ian has asked to meet with her and she has a secret that he definitely won’t like. It will change their lives as they know it when Ian finds out the truth.

Surprisingly Heartfelt

Even through loss of life. You can always find something or someone who can make you see the light and love of family.
Friendships are also key, because even through bad times, they’re there to hold you up.
Although, I loved meeting Ian and Taylor’s chemistry, and a second chance at love. I feel that Saint really set the story on fire.

I would like to say, that this is the first time I have ever read anything from this author. I can honestly say that this book was recommended originally by Booksprout. However, I am definitely looking forward to seeing more.

After Taylor and Ian lost their infant daughter they were both.drowning in their grief so instead of mourning their lost together they were growing apart. Then Ian left and sent her divorce papers which she signed knowing he wanted out. A few years later he contacts her because his mother left her something in her will and that is when he finds out he has a son named Saint that Taylor never told him about but now that he knows he is determined to be in his sons life as well as Taylor’s. What does the future hold for Ian and Taylor?

This is beautiful story focused on love and a second chance.

I loved how the relationship unfolded so we could see these amazing characters grow in ways they never expected.

It is the type of story that clutches you at once and does not release you until you get to the end - then you find yourself pining over the fact that the book has ended.

I couldn't get into this novella but other readers probably could. It is a story about a marriage lost and found again. A second chance at being parents for these two people.

I have read a few books by this author and so far, this is easily the best book, I LOVED it. The story drew me in, and the characters have depth and appear real. There is so much emotion in this book at one point I shed a tear as I was reading this. This is an absolutely brilliant book, it’s fairly short so easy to read in one sitting which is great as I for one couldn’t put it down.

Taylor has made a life for herself after her husband Ian divorced her and lives quite happily with her son Saint. She was only married for two years before their marriage fell apart after a tragic event, which they both coped with completely differently. He shut her out and broke her heart. Now he has suddenly turned up in her life and wants to meet with her. She has managed to ignore him for the last few years, but he insists on meeting face to face.

She leaves her son with her nanny and they meet at one of her favourite restaurants that she goes to often with Saint. This was an unfortunate choice as a waiter lets out a secret, which Ian knew nothing about. When he asks her about her son, the secret has to be revealed and Ian learns he actually has a son and he spins his world around on a penny. He stays and rents an apartment, while he gets to know his son, but then makes a deal with her that will change all of their lives from then onwards.

A short story of a couple split apart by tragedy, a secret kept from one and then once revealed, leading to a coming together for the sake of their son, together! You can easily understand how this series of events occurred, as when tragedy hits, people can react completely differently to the other person in the relationship. Scars can take a long time to heal and each person must heal in their own way. Finding out you have a child you never knew about is a pivotal moment and one which this story tells in an interesting way. I love all these short stories by this author, but love longer ones more. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This book is disappointing on many levels. Initially published several years ago, this book has been re-released. It suffers from the same problems that it did the first time it was published. The storytelling is chunky and disjointed, there are grammatical errors and the entire thing could use the help of a good editor. This begs the question, why would the author re-release this title if she weren't going to do any work on it to make it better than it had been. The main characters, Taylor and Ian lacked chemistry. The written word depicting their feeling for one another just didn't elicit that much emotion. I think the subject matter, the loss of a child and near loss of another, will make readers feel more for the book that it warrants.

I really struggled with this one. The story follows a couple who, after some years apart following the death of their child, rekindle their marriage. That was fine. What wasn't fine were the typos, jumping in and out of first and third person, and the war the author seemed to wage on comma use. Readers are largely left with fragments and poorly constructed sentences. There was next to no use of contractions either, so the language was formal and stuffy and staccato when paired with all of those fragments.
There were very few pages without errors, and that has taken away from a story with genuine potential.

A couple facing the worst tragedy - their young baby dies shortly after birth - and both are too young and too grief stricken to help each other and drift apart.
5 years and a divorce later, they meet again and Ian finds out that he has a son. To do right by his son as well as hoping for a second chance with Taylor he pressures her to marry him again. She agrees, but learning to trust again does not come easy.
The story is full of flashbacks, so that the reader can better understand the emotions both have to work with.
An interesting book, more of the human interest genre than really a romantic story. Still, an interesting, well-written book.

I have recently been introduced to Ms. Durand's books and have enjoyed them very much. This is an emotional story and will really pull at your heartstrings. The characters are all wonderful and endearing and you can't help but fall in love with them. Ian and Taylor divorced after the passing of their daughter. Years later he has need to contact her, and Taylor has a secret that just may change their lives. It seems like they may just get a second chance after all. This is a beautiful story full of emotion, forgiveness, and second chances. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.

The loss of a child is devastating is so many unexpected ways. The death of their daughter Reese left Taylor and Ian shattered

Instead of standing by her and working through the grief, Ian left Taylor, never once seeing her face to face

The son he never met was a big shock five years later

Can they have a chance as a family, or is more tragedy on the way?

Intense drama and second chances

When she left him, she left with a secret. After the loss of a child their marriage breaks up, he becomes more distant, she drifts away. Now they meet again. Maybe this time will be for keeps, but she’s kept a secret. Will he be able to forgive her so they can have their HEA? This was a short read.

It was an okay read. I thought the reason for separation would be some kind of quarrel atleast, but, it wasn't. I was kind of disappointed with the reason. H & h both needed to work out the unsaid words. This was just fast paced with an HEA. No OW/OM. Would be better if the book was some more lengthy

This was the story of Taylor and Ian. They suffer a loss that ends their marriage. When Ian comes back into Taylor's life a secret she has kept finally comes to light. This story was short and engaging. I wish it had been a little longer and that the heroine stood up for herself a little more. She seemed to give in too easily to Ian. She should have made him work harder. I liked how the book jumped from past to present.
